    205 Sport thread?

Has anyone installed a anchor roller and/or windlass on the front of a 205? Thinking of downsizing to a 205, but really like the simplicity of a electric windlass like on my big boat.

    Adding a 2nd bilge pump - 220 SD

didnt do the maths for my setup.. but i can definetely say the new setup.. is well approx 4 times better then stock setup that came with the searay..also..gives twice the insurance.. ie a fuse , switch etc goes bad.. there is atleast another one, which is twice as big as the standard searay item..

    Adding a 2nd bilge pump - 220 SD

I have a 185BR, and have replaced the useless 500gph rule bilge pump, with 2 * 1100gph pumps, eack with their own seperate float switches. Each has its own drain, and battery/fuse circuit. The drain plug even though above waterline, has the tube that connects to it going all the way to the top...

Camper Canvas for 180 Bow Rider

i'd be curious to see what others have done as well.. for now while its on the mooring i use entire boat cover, (with bimini down).. while underway only have the bimini up.. also just got a bowtent.. which i think will work excelent.. but a full enclosure as i had on the 270 would be good.

    176 BR Purchase??

i prefer the 3.0L on our 180. cheaper to maintain.. cheaper to run.. with a 19" prop the hole shot is great and get to just under 40knts. considering its less weight.. may even chew less fuel.. also easier to work on.. what more can you ask.. the 4.3L would be more to buy, more to service...

Anyone Try Smart Tabs on a 185 sport

Took me about 3 hours to install.. i did change some stuff though.. for example i changed the screws at the top bracket with bolts, as the fiberglass was thin where they mounted.

Anyone Try Smart Tabs on a 185 sport

you still use the legs trim for adjustment.. they generally get you out of the hole much quicker.. also when on play when in rough water they kind of go up and down with the waves like shock absorbers to level the ride.. i have them on a 180

getting canvas work done here is $$$$$.. for example.. the bow cover.. (yes that small triangle piece) is >$400 . So not will it be expensive.. but considering he canvas guys have not made one before, or even seen one, the end results may be... not the best.. I am hoping to get one from US.. and...

    Bow tents

yeap i am after something like was shown on the back of the pickup truck.. but for the searay bow.. there is not enough space for adults to sleep, but for a 2 and 3 year old makes an excellent day bed "cubby house" when on the hook.. the one for the yamaha, is fully enclosed.. so you have...

    Bow tents

I would like to get one made up here, but its shocking on the costs. As an idea, just a bow cover (yes that triangle piece) to have custom made is about $400 here. Thats for a searay 180. For a bimini (material only) It starts at around 600 for a very basic one. Ie to get anything custom made...

    Perfect Pass Speedometer Paddlewheel Problems

i am guessing thats a perfect pass item, as the speedo for a b3 is through a small opening on the front of the leg of the b3, and is based on water pressure.

    Carburetor versus fuel injected engines

I went from carbed mercruisers, to efi mercruisers on my last boat, and back to carbed for my current boat.. When everything is perfect.. the efi was fantastic.. unfortunatley on boats, things often are not perfect.. and fixing and diagnosing efi issues was not possible without special tools...

    Why bottom paint?

In australia, we have this new product, that to me it appears like lanoline with fine copper powder mixed in it.. Lanoline is a well known protector for trailers etc.. As its winter here i have not tried it yet, but have got 2 jars of the stuff to test very soon. Its very cheap, and you can...
