You'll want to make sure that you don't have a bilge liner before you go with a thru-hull or shoot-thru install. My Sundeck has a bilge liner which makes both of those options unavailable, I was forced to do a transom install.
Alright, I'm an idiot (don't tell my wife I said that). So I don;t have the remote oil filter. So, why is it so easy to find the correct part number for a remote oil filter but not for the standard block mounted filter?? What's the difference between using a marine oil filter and another...
Our local Marinemaxx closed it's doors recently so I'm going to start doing all of the fluid changes and such. I was wondering if anyone knows where the factory installed remote oil filter is located on a 2001 sundeck 190, I can't seem to find it in any of the Sea Ray schematics available online
I too wanted to mount a shoot-thru but due to the bilge liner was unable to do so. My next option was a thru-hull but due to concerns with the bilge liner, I contacted sea ray and they strongly opposed installing a thru-hull due to the liner. Not to say that it can't be done, but I just chose...
The gas shocks on the engine hatch/rear seat don't seem to be able to hold the weight of the seat up so I always have to prop it up with something in order to do any work. The current shocks (which I believe to be stock) are 60# shocks. Does anyone have any experience with upgrading these things...
On second thought, get a six pack, a hose and some soap and tell her she has to wash it until the stain comes out....and she can't wear that damn bathing suit.
I bought these from West Marine and mounted them on the rear support pole on the bimini. They look like they're supposed to be there. I would't do any heavy duty trolling with them but they're perfect for drift fishing and light line trolling. I think West Marine is having a sale on them...
Just got off the phone with customer service at SR and I was informed that the entire bilge area is "skinned" and my only option is a transom mount transducer as they don't recommend a through hull transducer either (which I wouldn't do anyway). Thanks for the input everyone.
That's my real question, I guess I should have thought more before posting, I'm familiar with the actual install proceedure as I have done it on several other boats, I just don't know how the hull is constructed in the area(s) that the transducer should be mounted. I'll give SR a call and see...
Okay, I've done a search and read every post on this subject but can't seem to find the answers I'm looking for. I have a 2001 SD 190 and want install sonar using a shoot through transducer. Does anyone know the best location for this? Everything I can see in the bilge area seems to have a...
I have the parts schematics and owners manual but neither have specific model/dimensions. I've been able to find pics via web searches and I know it's an igloo but the measurements of the factory "cradle" don't match any cooler I can find.
We left the pontoon world about 6 months ago and now we're in a 2001 SD 190. Here's the deal...we're used to 24' of open space and plenty of room for coolers/play saucers (if you don't know what those are, don't ask)/water toys etc. etc. Here's the question, what does everyone do to keep their...
I have a 2001 sundeck w/ the factory installed Clarion CD player. I can't remember the model off hand (I'm sure it's the same as the others of that time) and I'm wondering if it plays MP3's and/or has an input for an MP3 player. Does anyone have a clue?
Thanks
