I have a 2008 310 sundancer and my North Star vhf radio stopped receiving. Does anyone know where the radio controller is installed. I'm thinking bad antenna
I just bought a new cockpit cover for my 08 310 and I never had one before. My question is how does it attach around the arch? looks like I'm missing something
Most boaters are very conservative about there fuel burn numbers. A sea ray 340 sundancer with 8.1's are going to burn over 30gph easily at cruise speed. I boat on the Chesapeake Bay and ithink the 340 is the most popular boat here, actually 30 gph ain't bad for a awesome boat like that. I have...
I have a 08 310 sundancer with v drives. I recently noticed a round opening in my transom that doesn't go all the way through of course. Its below my swim platform on the port side. It has a shiny disc inside of it. Any idea of what this is?
If everything else is dry except that center compartment you shouldn't have a problem. They designed it that way for water to drain in there. If you wash the aft seat with a water hose like I do sometimes and lift your engine hatch you will see water coming through a tube draining in the center...
You might want to look into tbe V drives instead of stern drives model. Yes the v drives burn more fuel and are not as fast but they are virtually problem free and great for close quarters. People will argue this both ways but for me V drives
The cabin door can be a problem. You have to be very careful with it. Do not walk up the steps without the door being fully closed. Dont let the door rock back and forth when anchored out. Mine came off track and it was over$2000 for repairs.
I think a 2001 280 with a 6.2 is going to be underpowered. I had a 07 I sold last summer with a single big block 496 mag and with 5 or 6 people on board it struggled a bit. Boating isn't much fun with a underpowered boat. Ive been there
The single engine 280 with the 496 mag burns just as much fuel as twins, so there is no savings there just a little less maintenance. Also that big block holds like 8-9 guarts of oil, more than a set of twins My 08 310 has twin 350's with V-drives and I look forward to close quarter maneuvering...
I've had both a 260 and a 280. You definitely want to go with a 280. I only kept my 260 for a few months before moving up to a 280. The 260 is very tippy and used to scare the hell out of my wife and got to the point where she didn't want to go out in it. The 280 is very a very stable boat and...
