Hello all
Looking for ideas - broken 1980s style Bowmar low profile hatch hinge (2 1/4 inches long). Weldng shop said no. making a new one can be done, but cost is to high relative to a new hatch. Has anyone run across this problem and found a solution. If so I would be very interested. Called...
Ours is a 1984. We love it and it has a 10foot beam. Its been lots of work but we have a head turner now with more space than some larger boats! works great
Ten Years ....I get what you are saying. But there are always exceptions and I would never buy a boat expecting to get money out! LMAO. Guess just need to look at stringers somehow. If you look at the boat in my picture its an 1984 270 and it kicks the current 270 versions ass in every way...yes...
Hello All,
Thinking about buying 1987 Seville. We want a cheap runabout ski boat. Boat is coming from a friend has been well maintained and dry stored during winter. Has 3.0L engine, Alpha One outdrive. Motor needs to be rebuilt or a new long block dropped in. I am out of town and cant examine...
Hmmm I am having an engine dropped in mine right now! If you wanted to discuss all I have done for the last 2.5 years feel free to call me @ 503-781-4608. My boat has two 350s. Learned lots. Starting over I would do some things different but we do love the boat...... Check exhaust shutters....we...

Oh yes thanks. I would be on that for sure! Transducer, trim tabs and housing and some others I will find. Hopefully the wetness is contained as it is reading to the below the steering tie bar. But while we are there I plan to work on a much better system for securing all wiring across the stern...
Hello all,
Well, to top off losing a motor this fall I have discovered a soft transom in the boat (I had suspected). Not sure quite how to handle this one. We plan to have the boat for a long time. So, we want to have it fixed. It appears the softness extends side to side and as high as the bar...
The valves need to be redone and block is frozen up. So, engine has to be pulled. I can figure stuff out but its in the water and don't have trailer so rules out option of me coordinating whole things. Heads are at home already. So, many options are not available.
Yes, thanks….. i am getting somewhat overwhelmed and must weight trade offs after 3 years of effort to earn a dead engine. I do understand time has a way of calming things. She might just be a dock queen for this season and fix her up slow. Most of the boat is in fantastic shape. People who she...
