there are plastic caps that cover the stainless steel bases when not in use. the speaker wires stay plugged into the boxes at all times because I lay them on the shelves in the interior for use when they're not on the poles.

This 93 Laguna 13 is pretty awesome. Only 500 were built between 92-94. 25hp Mercury. I put in a stereo with 2 6x9's and a 240w amp that jams. Burns less than 1 gallon per hour riding around, easy to tow, and fits in my garage. Trolling motor and fish finder just in case the bass are biting...
