Last weekend I finished up my winter flooring poject on the boat. I installed Allure Ultra vinyl plank flooring down in the cabin. I used a clear cedar color for the main flooring and a dark walnut for the trim areas. My boat is a 1997 330 Sundancer.

Is it really neccessary to put a bead of caulking on the top and bottom of the rubrail where it meets the fiberglass? PO did it on mine and it is now coming off in places and I'm wondering if I should reapply it. Do they put a bead of caulking behind the rubrail when it is applied at the factory?
