    Electronic Fuel Injection buzzing noise...

Thanks for the reply, Dave. The Mercruiser guy hooked up the computer and replaced a few things. I don't know what they were because I haven't received the bill from my boat yard yet. I'm currently at Block Island on vacation and will get the bad news when I return home. The good news is the...

    Electronic Fuel Injection buzzing noise...

My 2002, 320 Sundancer, 350 ci, 300 hp Horizons has a constant buzzing sound with the engines off. The only way to stop the noise is to shut the battery switch off. It's the starboard engine making the noise. The fuel pump is getting hot from this. My mechanic disconencted the wire to the...

    Official 320 Dancer Thread

I'm reporting back in regarding my inability to plane below 3800 rpms. I had the bottom of my 2002 320 Sundancer "soda blasted" down to the original gelcoat. The bottom was then barrier coated and two coats of bottom paint were applied. I sent my props up to H&H Props in Salem Mass. for...

Proper props for a 320 Sundancer?

I purchased the boat just about a year ago in Long Island, NY. I saw the boat on dry land one week, saw it in the water for the sea trial and final part of the survey the next week, then I picked it up and drove it 7 hours back to my marina in Rhode Island. I have no idea what the bottom was...

Proper props for a 320 Sundancer?

I have a 2002 320 Sundancer with 350/300 hp Horizons with V-drives. The props were just pulled with the plan of sending them out to be tuned. The stamping on the prop is "18R19" and "L cup". Can any of you 320 owners tell me if those are the proper props for my boat? I bought it used last...

    Official 320 Dancer Thread

The bottom was done over the winter. I had it soda-blasted, and two barrier coats were put on. The bottom will be painted soon with a high quality paint. The props will soon be done to make sure they are tuned properly. I have inside storage so the boat was well protected through the winter...

    Official 320 Dancer Thread

Have any of you 320 Sundancer owners had problems with keeping your boat on plane. If I don't keep my rpm's up above 3800 or so, my boat falls off plane. One guy told me to put larger trim tabs on the boat to correct the problem. Can this be done by just replacing the tabs themselves or will I...

    Trim Tab Replacement?

When do you put your boat up for the season?

The older I get, the earlier I pull the boat. This year my newest possession is headed for inside storage. I use to have my boat brought home and put in my yard (300 Weekender). The radar arch is too high on my 320, and it would have to be removed to transport it to my home. Therefore, it...

    After market bow thruster

My 320 came with a bow thruster from the factory. I do believe it was Florida Bow Thruster that did mine for Sea Ray. It's really handy in tight situations. Most people don't expect it when I suddenly use it while docking or casting off.

The water heater in my 1988 300 Weekender went for about 7-8 years without leaking. I had the original replaced with a stainless one and it was still working fine when I sold the boat this year at 21 years of age (the boat, not me!) One WH replacement in 21 years is a good thing.

    Gas/Fueling Tank Concern

One would think the fuel filters would block those contaminents from going any further than the filter.

    1988 300 weekender

I lost one gas cap which caught on a piling breaking the beaded chain while I was filling the gas tanks. The Sea Ray Dealer said there were three different manufacturers of those caps for the 88's. I bought one of each and none of them fit. I modified a plastic cap which I managed to get into...

    1988 300 weekender

I use to cruise at 2800-3000 rpms doing roughly 19-21 knots over the bottom depending on the wind, current, and tide. I would burn 14-15 gallons per hour at that speed. I still had the original 350/260hp engines (straight inboards) when I sold the boat a couple of months ago. Two thousand...

    1988 300 weekender

I had an 1988 300 Weekender. I purchased it brand new as a leftover in 1989. It still had the original engines when I sold it. I kept it 20 years and then purchased a 2002 320 Dancer. We love the 320 but the 300 was a lot easier to handle and much cheaper to operate. The 320 burns almost...

Did I purchase a "dog" of a boat?

We took the boat to a cove yesterday to inspect the running gear and the bottom. Unfortunately there was a cloud cover and underwater visibility was poor. The props looked good and somewhat shiny with no growth at all. There were a few barnicles on the shafts and the underwater exhaust ports...

Did I purchase a "dog" of a boat?

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts. I really don't like the idea of running at such high rpms to achieve a decent speed. I've never attempted to hit top rpm, but if I have to, I guess I had better try. It's hard for me to believe that engines with 230 or so hours on them would be...

Did I purchase a "dog" of a boat?

I purchased a 2002 320 Sundancer with the 350/300 hp Horizons with V-drives last spring. The boat only had 209 hours on it when purchased. We love the boat and find it very comfortable to live on during our time off. My only complaint is it is a "dog" on the water. It doesn't plane out until...

External GAs Tank on Outboard for Dinghy

I recently purchased a 4-stroke, 4 HP Yamaha. I was surprised to see the coupling for an external fuel tank. I purchased a new gas line for my Merc 3-gallon tank to convert it to the Yamaha connection. It worked just fine. I was told I could lay my 4-stroke down on the tiller side of the...
