So I figured out that the pump is a Rule 20A Marine Rule 1000 Square Marine Bilge Pump. I have twisted the top and popped it loose but there is no room at all to lift the pump out of its holder. It only has about a half an inch till it hits the oil pan of the engine. I cant believe I would have...

How did you get an exact replacement? I just called three places including the Searay dealer and they all told me they would have to match one up with my old one.

Mine seems to either be missing that screw or is broken. I can grab it and its loose but the base of it is attached to the bottom so if I pick up on the top half of the pump it wont come out because its hitting the engine and is still half way into the base. Hopefully that makes sense.

I have a 1994 Sundancer 230 and cant figure out how the bilge pump is attached below the engine. It seems to be physically broken and after feeling around quite a bit I cant find any screws that attach it. Can anyone steer me in the right direction on how to replace it? Its really tough to get...

I was actually just looking at that exact model, the through a hole in the hull part makes me nervous.

I am thinking of replacing it with a GPS that does sonar and chart plotting, what are your thoughts? Also does the transponder get replaced from inside the boat? Sorry I have never messed with them and figure I only want to pull it out of the water to repair it once.
