It’s a crossover switch. If your battery is not fully charged, it will enable you to use the battery from the other engine to start the engine with the weak battery
Just hold down the triangle switch while starting the engine
I’m sorry
I meant 110ac outlets
I was able to easily add a 12v receptacle on the electric panel in the cabin
Marinco makes them and also has usb receptical options
They’re available from Amazon
Sorry for my mistake
There should be 12v outlets in the forward bunk area on starboard side just into starboard cabinet
Another in the cabin under the port hole in the head
Another by the stereo cabinet close to the floor by the aft bunk
And another in the cabinet by the stove in the galley
I had the same issue. It turned out to be a bent rail, which probably happened if someone stood or jumped on the bench without having the support leg extended down to the deck. My sea ray dealer hooked me up with the part manufacturer and I replaced the rail. Somewhat of a PITA to do. Bolts...
I’ve had a few problems with the windlass. The box that you hear the clicking is the relay
It serves two functions, it allows a control switch (such as your dash or foot switch) to turn on a high amp circuit that controls the windlass motor
It also switches polarity going to the motor which...
I'm having issues with a cabin leak that I thought I fixed some time ago by tightening the forward starboard port hole latches. I heard it's a common problem with the boat. Mine is a 2003 280DA.
Has anyone removed a port hole and resealed it? Did that correct the problem. The water is soaking...
I have had an issue with the smell of fuel there. I needed to change the washers on the gas guage sending unit
it solved my problem
the access panel is in the middleof the aft berth
Does anyone have photos or could anyone explain how to remove stern back rest for re-upholstery?
Are the bolts behind the port and starboard dividers in the stern storage compartment?
Re: Official 280 Sundancer Thread - Odor of Gas under cabin step
It turned out to be the gaskets for the screws holding the sending unit in place that had broken down. I changed the main gasket also. It took about 24 hrs of using a blower into the inspection hole to evacuate all the odor of...
Re: Official 280 Sundancer Thread - Odor of gas under cabin step
Has anyone had a problem with gasoline odors under the cabin step
I think my issue is possibly a leaking gasket for the fuel sender under the aft bunk
Has anyone had a problem with low engine temperature?
I recently got into the shallows and sucked up some sand. The engine began running with a low temp
it turned out some sand was keeping the thermostat open
I cleaned it out and is good as new
i hope this can help someone else with the same...
Has anyone replaced their engine hatch hydraulic cylinder assists? If so where did you find the replacement cylinders? I have the 2003 280DA, without the motor assist, it' manually operated.
Thanks!
