What should I gap my spark plugs at.

Motor is a 1971 OMC 327. I was wondering if any knows the factory gap spec. I've always gapped them at .035 but I read on another marine board that they should be gapped at .025. That don't seem right to me but wanted to get some other guys input on this. Thanks in advance for the help.
