This one is after it warmed up. I also took the black flaps off the exhaust as well...

Jitts3 you are awesome. I found the casting # and it is indeed a the 235hp 307. My grandpa bought this boat in 1975 from the original owner and the whole time he called it a 327. You actually posted in my thread that had the pictures of it...
Motor is a 1971 OMC 327. I was wondering if any knows the factory gap spec. I've always gapped them at .035 but I read on another marine board that they should be gapped at .025. That don't seem right to me but wanted to get some other guys input on this. Thanks in advance for the help.
I forgot I had these and wanted to share with my fellow Sea Ray owners. The first video shows the interior which is all original except the carpet has been replaced. Nothing special just warming up at the dock. Hope you enjoy...
Thanks for the help. Your interior restoration looks great. I will check into the wood veneer. The padded lid looks good but I want to stay with the original look of the boat.
Very nice restoration. The wood part of the motor cover. Did you redo that yourself or buy it new? I have a 71 with the similar motor cover and its peeling and im not sure what to use to fix it.
The trailer is painted silver. Thats not the color of the steel. It was a factory beige color and my grandpa painted it silver years ago. It needs painted again so I was just tossing some different ideas around.
Just wanting to get some opinions on changing my trailer color. Thinking of painting it black with some green stripes to match the boat. I taped some black trash bags on there to just get an idea on what it might look like. What are your thoughts? Stay with the silver and black or go all black...
Everything about the boat is original. My grandpa bought it in 1975 from the original owner. He hadn't had it in the water for like 3 years when my grandpa bought it from him. I got it when my grandpa passed away in 2011. So the exhaust color of the motor and all that is how she came from the...
