i live in a salt water area. if i could find a junk yard, i think they would be just as bad. They seem to be solid, just covered in flaky rust. I cant see if they are bad, and i dont want to find out the hard way..
Thanks for the info, ill give them a call.
i removed the cables and cleaned the terminals. i can see the gauge move when i add/remove the ground. I want to pull the sender and see what is up, but the boat is in storage, and not here at the house. Im trying to get everything together for a marathon weekend fix fest.
i need to replace the springs, mount studs, u bolts, and hubs on my shorelander trailer. it came from the dealer with a 1999 searay 180 br
Anyone know what the axle is rated for? which springs i need?
also which hubs.
I have a good understanding of the springs and the work involved, but i...
I have a 1999 180 sea ray bow rider. I know its good on gas, but not that good. the gauge stays pegged at full.
I need to replace the sender, but my local dealer has it on backorder at $81. I can get generic ones for about $25. I know the tank is 9.5in deep, but i need to know what ohm range...
i replaced the tails with identical hardware for now. They are only $6.99 each and will get me back on the road until i can afford the full LED setup.
The broke wire was luckily and easy fix. I narrowed it down to the tongue area by using a 12v power supply and trying the connectors at the Y of...
I was finally able to sell my 1991 sea ray boat, and finally go get the 1999 i have been eyeing. :D
I was able to get $4600 out of my 1991, and pick up the 1999 for $4500, so i must say that was a great deal!
it is a 18ft ski boat, with the mercuiser 3.0l and alpha 1 outdrive.
Had to do some...
I currently own a 1991 searay 170 bow rider. It has been a good boat for us this summer, but i happened on a 1999 searay 180 that i want to upgrade to.
I have a few questions that i cannot find on the searay spec sheets.
my manual says the 170 i have is 16.8 ft hull and 18.2ft with platform...

they will clip on about anything and will hold snug to the rail so they dont slide. the rope length is also adjustable.
watched a guy almost lose his truck and boat today!
We were floating out by the wake buoy waiting our turn to load at the ramp, and this guy was launching his boat. He didnt quite have the truck backed in enough, and was trying to power the boat off the trailer. The truck starts rolling back...
I have the 4 cyl merc 3.0 in my boat and burned an entire 22 gal tank in about 9 hours of lake time. (not all running, but probably 80%). I can smell gas fumes at low speed, it idles rough, and if i dont let it idle for 5 seconds or more after throttling back to neutral before shutting it off...
i installed a depth finder on mine last weekend. There was already a hole from a previous owner so i just poped the patch out of it, sanded the extra off, and reused the hole. It was up high and above the water line. I ran the wire, then put some duct tape inside the hull over the wire to make a...
i called around and the cheepest place i could find was NTB. the tires there are about the same cost as what i could find online shipped so i think its good. $83 each, plus $11,99 for mount and balance. dropped it off at lunch and will go pick it up after work!
i measured the stuff last night, and your right a 205/70 is about right, but its a 15in wheel. (bead to bead) I will call discount tire and NTB today to get quotes. academy web site doesnt have anything close to that size.
nothing? any idea how to figure out the size i have or what i need? I found some loadstars on sale that seem to be the right thing, but im not sure. the boat dry weight is 2200, how much does a trailer weigh?
do i need radial or ply tires?
What is everyone waiting on? i went out the 19th!
