Ya there's a filter at the fuel tank, a filter / water separator and apparently one on the carborater body, I think I'll do a clean sweep and hope for the best!

Andy you can't dissable the switch, it will not shift in and out of gear. Check the lower shift cable to be shure that it moves freely any drag from corosion will cause your problem. The lower cable is not that hard to change.

This was the first time running with the new manifolds, I did use the good metallic gaskets, I did check the dip stick for any signs of water I don't see any, It seems to run great at idle and revs up with no problems. Everything sounds normal the white smoke dos'nt have any kind burning smell...

Fired up both engines today the starboard one seems to have some white smoke in the exhaust. I just replaced the manifolds and risers on both. Is this something I should be concerned about, could it be a head gasket, if so how do I verify that? Thanks any advice would be great.

Thanks that's great info, we're trying plan a trip this summer, we were thinking about Newport or Block Island. I think I'm 3 hours from Newport, maybe 6 to Block Island. Anyone have accurate travel time from Falmouth to Newport or Block Island.

Is Block Island worth the trip, has anyone been there. I've heard that it can be a lot of fun. I was there on business this week, took the ferry from Piont Judith. There dos'nt seem to be much dockage.
