    Hole in the Water Club

Do I have a shot at getting into the club? Bought my boat last year and ran it without issues until this spring. Repairs were limited to leaking taps, blown speakers, and a few lights. Then I found out my leg was gone and wasn't worth rebuilding. Had to wait for a Sierra Alpha 1 replacement to...

Welcome Dan. I'm just south of you in Victoria. Just bought my old boat last spring and really enjoyed it in the summer. Ian

    Hello from cali

Congrats on your boat. We got a 5th Wheel for camping when our kids were the age of yours. Many great times. We were able to use my BiL's lake boat a few times and dragged the girls around at speed. They loved it. I can't think of a better investment for your kids than a boat. Enjoy.

    Is your slip rental increasing?

We pay $3600 for a 28' open slip with water and electricity (for $11 per month extra). Rates stayed the same for 2011.

New to Boating and just bought a 1984 v260 Sea Ray!!

Congrats on your boat. I bought the same boat this year. Haven't had a chance to run it, what with weather and all, but hope to get out for a couple of days this weekend. Wish I had your weather.

    1983 260 Sundancer

I got the boat into the marina the day before it snowed 8" which is a nightmare for Victoria (nobody here knows how to drive in snow). Tonight and tomorrow the winds are supposed to gust up to 160km/h so I'm hoping to get out to check the boat. It's 25 miles away and I have to fix the MIL's car...

    1983 260 Sundancer

Congrats on your boat. I just bought an '84 and it has the same upholstery as yours. I'm trying to get it in a marina so I can pick it up from the PO. CJSundancer: I can't take pics yet but know the battery selector on mine is on the port side at the very back; reach in beside the back seat...

    Trailering a Sundancer 240 around

Interesting topic. I've just bought an '84 Searay 260 Sundancer with a trailer. I've trailered my previous vintage '57 Bellboy and kept it in a marina. This boat has a bunk tailer whereas the former had rollers. I'm wondering, of those who found it easy to trailer, were they bunks or rollers?

The portholes are neat. I have the pop-up sunroof above the galley. Didn't know it was custom.

Did you have a '56 Olds? Years ago, I had a 1956 Olds 98 Holiday. Awesome car!

Thanks for the welcome. I'm getting my truck ready to haul the boat. Tomorrow we're visiting a number of marinas in our area. Finding it hard to wait until we've had the boat for a while before changing the upholstery, canvas, and dinghy. Was going to keep it on the trailer until April 1 but...

Hi Guys. I bought a 1984 Searay 260 Sundancer today. Now busy looking for a slip. Looking forward to playing with this classic. Previoius boat was a late 50's Bellboy 18.5 Express. My avatar, if it works, shows the boat and the profile should show it on the trailer.
