We have a fresh water level switch on our breaker panel in our 400 DA and every level from empty to full remained lit all the time. Replaced sensor which has all color coded wires and every level still lights up when you press the switch. Suggestions?
Brilliant! We installed a new check valve and that didn't make any difference. Took your suggestion and removed it completely and bingo-all is well with the world once again. Thanks so much for the suggestion. This site is the first place I go when my husband finds a problem that he can't...
What we don't understand is that both the old and the new pump are doing the same thing, so we tend to believe it's not the pump and may have something to do with the check valve or an obstruction between that and the through hull .
If my husband holds down top of pump, it operates properly. If he releases pressure, it stops. Water dribbles out of pump between red and white section on both old and new pump.
Our shower sump continued to run after all water had been pumped over side. Bought new pump-it did the same thing. Water seems to spurt out of seams of old pump and the new one. Check valve is not restricting flow and appears to be keeping water from flowing back in. Any ideas on where we go...
Spoke to someone at Sea Ray and he mentioned knowing of ONE other 1997 400DA with a cracked tank. Appears from posts there are LOTS of them. Will look for reputable plastic welder in RI to make this repair. Manufacturer of tank wants $1100 to make a new one and then there will be shipping...
Water on carpet in aft cabin is from our faulty cracked L shaped tank that a previous owner attempted to repair with a load of epoxy. So very annoyed that this was not disclosed and obviously surveyor didn't tear apart the aft cabin to see it. Disappointed that these faulty tanks aren't the...
air conditioner hasn't been on, showers haven't been used, and only a small amount of water went into galley sink and yet after taking a one hour ride, we opened the hatch and it's full of water again. We did have heavy rain the night before but how would that find its way into hatches beneath...
Where could fresh water come from that accumulated beneath salon hatches? Two shower sumps are working, but when I opened one hatch to store something, they were full of water. There's a small bilge ump aft of the shower sump pumps. It obviously isn't working, but where does water come from that...
Not much water is coming through our shower wand in our guest head on our 1997 40 ft Sea Ray. Have looked everywhere for a replacement. This worked fine last year and we've given it a CLR bath but water just seems to trickle through. Any ideas on how to fix or where to buy replacement?
:huh:How do you get it out from where it is instaled. All screws are out but there is not enough room to slide unit out. If you have done this ---please let me know the secret. Thanks, Hank
I want to remove the horrible cranberry and green quilted covering on the trim piece that wraps around the shelving in the forward cabin. How does that piece come off so I can remove the old and cover with new?:smt024
