Thank you Amajamar, wish I had this info before my order, I ordered individually each part from the web and I expect them to be delivered soon! Anyway, thanks a lot!
Hello Captains,
I have to replace the Electric Fuel Pump (p/n 861156A1) and Fuel Cooler (p/n 861267A1 or 8M0125847), 350 MAG MPI MIE (2001), the Cooler is in bad condition and the Pump stopped working. Is there any kit in the market containing all the components (pump, cooler, fittings...
My Starboard fuel tank indicator is inoperative (needle stuck to the left, beyond E-Emplty). Any advice what to check or to do before replacing the fuel tank level meter (sending unit)? Thanks in advance!
Could you please ask the 310SD (V-Drives) owner and post some more details about the four blade props upgrade? (prop size, performance comparison, consumption difference, etc). Thanks
bobeast, fyi, yesterday I visited my boat and did what you adviced me; each engine run for about 30 min without any RPM fluctuation, so probably it was the umbilical cord! On the contrary, I noticed again Temp fluctuations, the same as previously, with a trend of lower temp reading, which I...
Thank you for your fruitful info! Hope it's not the wiring issue! Is there any specific way to check the sensors, other than replacing each sensor with a new one?
Thanks for the reply Stee6043, this is a very good point, unfortunately I didn't check it! I suppose that, if I had depressed the bypass/preheat button and the engine refires, it was an indication of faulty safety switch (Oil pres, exhaust temp, water temp)! Is that right?
What I noticed is...
I didn't work on that (unfortunately no time available!); actually, the boat is dry docked for the whole summer season, far away from my location, and, whenever I can, I operate the engines for about half an hour (engine flush procedure), following my mechanic's advice. Last time I visited her...
Help again! I also faced RPM fluctuations in both engines, as you can see in the following link, which were not actual (throttle steady at 1200RPM, no engine noise change, I am sure it is an indication problem). Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
Thank you all gentlemen for your valuable thoughts and assessments; Lazy Daze, as far as I can recall, it happens as soon as the temp is approaching the normal operating reading (about 170F). I think I had noticed that even before the replacement of the casing, t-stat and sender but I am not...
In the link below you can find a short video showing the temp fluctuations. Any assessment on the possible cause is more than welcome!!! Thanks in advance!
