I figured I would chime in. We found them at superbright leds.com under G4 sockets. He ordered two to make sure they fit, and then ordered all of them . I want to say it was around $220 all together, and the amp draw in the 12 volt system went from around 10 to just over 2. That is substantial.

Not sure. They were optima AGM batteries, and there was not date code on them at all.

Another update. Oreillys ran a charge test and the both failed and got SUPER hot. So 500 bucks later Dad has new batteries. We will heck the fuse and the setting on the charger too just to make sure.

Volt meter showed 13 volts. The second you hit the starter it goes to zero. Here is an update. Took both batteries to Oreillys to get tested and they are both too dead to test so they are charging them before testing. Could the on board charger be charging the starboard bank and not the port?

Ok, this is on my Dads 2000 340. His port engine will not crank unless you use the emergency start, and things run fine. So this leads me to believe one of the batteries is shot. Can you tell me which one in the picture handles the cranking?

We actually got it mostly done. We started the zippers about 2 inches and then put in the rubber part. It still took us over an hour and there is about a 2 foot section that will not zip due to it being too tight. I am going to take the heat gun out there this week.

I just helped my father purchase a 2000 340 with twin 7.4 Mags with 380 HP each. They really help that boat get out of the hole and keep on plane at around 2900 to 3200 rpm. We tested a 201 with 6.2ls and there was quite a difference.

I had a though while standing in the shower. Are you supposed to have the battery solenoids on at all times when docked?

I forgot to mention that the batteries are all Optima Gel Cells. Once we took the load off the charger refreshed the batteries fine. With everything running on the 12V side, we were pulling almost 20 amps.
