Any idea how to remove the clairon stereo head? I need to get to the rca inputs in the back to add an ipod adapter. There are the 2 holes in the front that I assume are for a removal tool but I cant find one to fit...

I had the same issue and it turned out to be a setting on the clarion head itself. you need to turn on the pre amp setting. I just googled the problem and it was an easy fix.

I had the exact same issue last year with my port side, it would even stall on occasion. I however let it go and the gearing in that outdrive ended up granading and destroying the entire drive. Moral of the $5000 story: get it fixed sooner than later.

So i bought a new Garmin 531s for the 280. In doing research for the transducer I have decided that I want to go thru hull (have the marina install) or preferably in hull (install myself) Id like to know if anyone has had any luck with these and if so where you recommend the in hull.

Does anyone know where I can find a Garmin Data card (not he SD format) for inland lakes in the Northeast? I have searched for ever on the internet any everyone is sold out. Apparently they do not make this anymore. My only hope seemes to be Ebay but there are none there at the moment either...
