Anyone ever sell their boat and then see it get trashed?

On the other side of the story. I have sold two boats in the past that I took care of and upgraded to the best of my ability while I had them. Both were bought by the first person that came to see them. I have seen these boats around island several times and they look so much better and...

For my fellow military and those that believe

Great Job!! I love patriotic music. I went to a free concert by him in a mostly military town the day before our battle group left for the Gulf the first time. When he did that song, talk about a lump in your throat, I almost couldn't breath. Not a dry eye in the park. :smt089

    Maintenance

One of my buddies took a 38ft Scarab into the Wellcraft dealer for work on the windshield and when he picked it up two weeks later it had a blown stbd engine. They looked him straight in the eye and told him he brought it in this way. What they didn't know is he purchased the boat directly...

    Unwinterizing, DOH!

Boating year round doesn't take the excitement out of it. It just takes the urgency out of it. You don't need to take advantage of every clear, calm day for fear it might be your last of the season. You simply go out when you please and if something comes up you go out next week or next month...

    Trailer Boating in Mexico

Looks like great fun. At first I thought that truck was the tow vehicle. Were there cold beers taken aboard at your fuel stops? again, great pics Royce

    Cool new toy!

Looks like a lot of fun if you have some clear water. I wonder how your ears would be affected by the pressure of diving so fast. I doubt it could pull me at 20. I think the test rider must have been a smaller person. I would imagine it will cost between 3 and 5 thousand. Like a segway for...

    Boating makes you fat!

This thread is giving me hope. Since I just dropped ten feet in boat size, that should be about 20 or so pounds I can expect to lose. Maybe a little more since the last one was a sailboat.:smt038:thumbsup:

    Question on carpet

Mine certainly will get wet. I run only in saltwater and even if it dosent get wet while I'm out. It'll get very wet when I rinse her down once she's back on the trailer. I just don't want to create a bigger problem than I am trying to prevent. Thanks

How much "stuff" have you lost in the lake?

Lost a cell phone last weekend. Didn't really lose it, just destroyed it while I was discoving just how slick the carpet on the trailer bunk actually is. The most fun I have ever had while losing something happened many years ago on the Colorado river when I was offered a ride in a drag boat...

    Question on carpet

Thanks for the advice. That is kind of what I figured. I have no intentions of removing the carpet anytime soon. Now it is still in great condition. I like the idea of sunbrella runners over the carpet that can be removed at the end of the day. If I manufacture these, and make them with...

    Winter Cover

Winter.... What's that? We might see 70 degrees during the morning commute maybe a couple of days during the year. If that happens too often the Gov will ask for emergency federal funds to subsidize the cost of socks. Im serious. Last year we had a cold spell of 68 degrees and the...

    Question on carpet

Has anybody here ever removed glued in carpet? I don't need to now, but I am curious as to what is under there. Is it finished glass or rough unpainted etc. I know the new models have the snap in and that is the route I would like to take when the time comes. How are the snaps attached to...

How can i make my boat faster?

I am the biggest newbie here so I may be way off track here. I would think aerodynamics would play a factor in overall speed. Have everyone on the boat remove thier tops and apply liberal amounts of suntan oil so that the air flows more smoothly through the cockpit. If it doesn't get you a few...
