So we took the boat out for the last trip before I leave on deployment. I had a few friends from work onboard and we were heading to a spot thats good for wakeboarding. Along the way, we run into some jet skis buzzing around. I slowed down to find a good spot to pass them and waited...

I see people wakeboarding from jetskis, small boats and even rafts with an outboard attatched! You dont need much power to wakeboard.

How long had it been grinding? Mine does it in neutral and it seems to get louder as I advance my throttle to 1800 RPMs to flush the motor. I dont hear it in the engine bay, only back near the out drive.:huh:

I found a empty fuel tank...I keep trying to fill it up but then I find it empty again. Additionally I found that I get butt raped everytime I go to the gas station to get the fuel. :smt013

I have just over 100 hours on my boat/motor....you just described my issue to a T. I dont know, but it sounds just like you said, like something is spinning that needs grease. Hopefully it's not anything too big. I want to go out again on Sunday.:huh:

Hi all! Took the boat out today, had a blast! However, when I was flushing it at home, I noticed a sound from the motor that just didnt sound right. It gets a bit louder as you advance the throttle, its kind of like a grinding sound from the outdrive. I didnt notice any performance issues...
