That pump looks like it is pretty new. Teflon tape? take a look at the other engine and see if it looks new. Maybe a issue the old owner was trying to fix.
Make sure the belt is tight enough. I changed my whole raw water pump and it work for a trip. Went to start it again no water flow looked quick to see if the belt was turning and it was. The belt wasn't tight enough move the pully. It looked like it was turning but once I climbed in there to see...

Did you use the gasket with the 2 rivets in it for the thermostat housing. I had bought sierra brand and had problems. The rivets make continuity for sensors. I had all wacky readings. Turned out the Sierra brand gasket sucked and rivets rusted. You should be able to put some kind of wire Jumper...

My 2000 340 should be the same . Mine had a small access panel behind captains chair and I pulled the pocket out. You can see where everything is run forward and back.
Did you change the pickup coil in the distributor. I had one go bad but mine wouldn't start. Looks like you changed everything else. Can you swap the whole distributor with other engine?
