We had a 2007 250 SLX with the Capt call side exhaust...... my FAVORITE feature. At the time the engine was a 8.1..... REALLY awesome in that boat. We could take it easy and cruise at about 24 or 25 GPS MPH and still idle around into and out of our cove and tank after tank of fuel...
In the 4 plus years we had our 496 I only put premium in maybe 2 or 3 times...... as our marina had run out of 87. The boat ran perfectly fine on 87 and I could not tell the difference in any way.
It's kind of a subjective question....... for me, I was hoping for more. It seemed OK for swimming at night as it would send a decent lit up area around the stern for about a 8 to 10 ft diameter. It also greatly depends on the water clarity. Our lake is quite clean so it wasn't too bad. I...
I had a Hurley Marine "drain plug light" installed on our 250SLX. I see the new ones available are now LED, the one I had was High Intensity Halogen. Relatively inexpensive solution. Worked well for swimming at night off of the stern of the boat. I wasn't too happy with the High Intensity...
I would not consider it a deal breaker, but if I had the choice of 2 nice boats, one a 2006, and one a 2007 with DTS it would be an easy decision. My condo neighbor who sold us the 250 SLX with DTS missed it on the 2006 he bought and inquired about switching it out to having DTS on his...
They are an awesome boat. Although we had the 250 SLX with the 496 which we really loved !!! I can see the one you are considering has the Capt's call exhaust.... instant testosterone booster. My condo neighbor sold me the 2007 250 SLX so he could buy a 2006 270 SLX that he originally...
The fresh water system on our 250 SLX was never used. Didn't need the fresh water rinse off hose on the swim platform being on a fresh water lake and as for the sink, it was only used to be a handy spot to put suntan lotion, etc..... we just took what liquid stuff we had in a cooler.
I was there last Saturday picking up our new boat and asked Jeff if yours was in yet...... he said it was shipping this week. I'll be back at the SML Yacht Club getting my SS prop put on tomorrow afternoon (Sat) and I'll look for your boat. If you're around would enjoy meeting you...
Shortcut,
I was at the SML Yacht Club yesterday looking at our new Berkshire TriToon that just came in special ordered ( waiting on the Yamaha 200 engine to arrive) and asked Lee and Jeff about your new 250 SLX...... glad to hear you decided to go with the 496 engine..... you won't regret it...
we ordered a 2015 Berkshire Tri Toon (with a lot of options) with a 200 Yamaha...... just ready for a change.... LOVED the 250 SLX for many reasons, and hope I don't end up with regret later on, but wanted to go with the toon. Have been riding on a friends tri toon many times in the...
I've got the 496 Mag with 375 hp..... With 8 on board and fuel, it's the way to go. With only 2 or 4 it really scoots. As this is a heavy boat, I am glad I've got the engine it's got. Over the past 4 years I have kept track of fuel consumption..... tank in and tank out I seem to...
I made a point to check the ski locker yesterday, while cleaning up the boat from a 10 day visit to the lake. Locker was dry. Even pulled up the white plastic mat at the rear edge to make sure.
We do keep the boat in a covered lift and I keep a mooring cover on it in there when we are not...
Sorry to hear you're soggy....... it poured here in SW VA this evening for an hour. Even under the covered hanging dock, I bet I'm wet inside. Will definitely look tomorrow at the ski locker.
Figures..... I just put our carpet back in this morning, after having it out since last fall...
Our 2007 appears dry. I've lifted up the plastic mat flooring in the floor of the ski locker, but it always seems dry. We also are hanging in a covered boat dock on a lift.
I have the earlier version, GoPro 2. Love it...... use it more often on the Sea Doo than I do the Sea Ray. The picture I took of our boat, is the Club Sea Ray Calendar pic for December. I took the pic right at the water level.
I have several camera mounts for it, but like the one that...
