We have a water tank issue we're trying to solve. Here's the issue:
Over the weekend we went to the boat, turned on the fresh water pump, but it just kept running. No water was coming out of the faucets. Tank showed 3/4 full. To test it I even put in more water to get it to full. Still no...
Normally I have had my dealer winterize my boat, but after talking to dock mates who winterize and doing a ton of research I decided to tackle it myself this year.
Oil changes were a breeze. (Including the generator)
Fuel water separators done. Transmission fluid check.
Winterizing my anchor...
I've had a BoatTest.com account for years and often use their test numbers, look at videos, etc.
I noticed today that they are now putting some of their content behind a pay wall!

Has anyone else noticed this? This isn't on all...
I did a quick search but didn't see anything. I just got an invite from my dealer to come see the 2017 460 Sundancer and 460 Fly.

SeaRay has replaced the 450 with this new model and there is no longer a 470. Base...
My 350 has a Kumma 120v 6 Gallon hot water heater. We have a terrible rotten egg smell coming from the hot water side. Cold water has no odor.
I'm probably going to flush the system with vinegar, but I have a feeling the issue is likely the anode.
I found the replacement part online...
I'm contemplating a VesselView 7 upgrade on my 2010 350. I've hunted through some of the threads on the forum with people who've made the upgrade, but I'm looking for any advice on the following:
1- I have a DTS boat. Will I need a new dual engine splitter to connect the engines to VV7? (Or...
Boat splashed last week. Yesterday I brought it back to its home slip in DC from Woodbridge.
At at the end of last season we were having a steering issue that I diagnosed as air in our power steering system. I bought hydraulic oil and yesterday went through the process to bleed the system...
I've had a thread going for a few weeks in the MidAtlantic forum, but I want to get input from the broader group.
First some background:
My boat is docked in Washington, DC. What many people may not know is there are only a few hundred slips over 25' in Washington, DC. Three of the marinas...
We just found out yesterday about a MAJOR policy change at James Creek Marina in DC. I'll explain the changes and I wanted to get everyone's feedback.
-Through a Facebook post the marina posted that effective immediately they will no longer allow monthly billing. Slips must be paid for the...
I stumbled upon a cruiser blog by a husband and wife couple that has spent the past few years cruising the east coast and caribbean in the 72' Nordhaven. This article is about their yacht getting struck by lighting in Colonial Beach, VA (a few hours south of DC) and the mayhem it caused.
Our...
So I've had an issue pop up that I haven't experienced before. I can normally get my rudders over about 30 Degrees to port and starboard, but suddenly any turn to starboard stops around 18-20 degrees.
Today I got in the engine compartment to look at the mechanics to see if I spotted any...
So we know the newer SeaRay's have some of the features and appearances of European built boats, but I was on Azimut's website today and notice their new 72 looks a lot like the profile of the 650Fly.

I didn't see this posted. Yesterday I got an email from the SR Owners Club about changes to the program. (Email was signed by Matt)
-No more earning points
-Existing points must be spent by Dec 31, 2016
Honestly I never found the points all that beneficial anyways so not that big of a deal...
SeaRay tweeted out a drawing of a new Sundancer today. It will be unveiled at FLIBS according to the tweet.
I'm guessing the 450.

I've been waiting for this revamp and will be there to check it out.
So I've begun to notice several of the hoses in my engine compartment are showing small cracks. When I say hoses I'm referring to water lines from the strainers to the engines, AC, generator, etc.
How long should should they last? My boat is 5 years old.
I'll be storing on last this...
I'm looking for opinions, feedback, reviews of The Moorings *crewed* power yacht charters in BVI.
In February my company will celebrate 10 years and I'm thinking of taking my staff somewhere. One of my thoughts is a 5 night crewed charter with The Moorings. I've looked at rates and it's...
Looks like a Russian billionaire, who is on the run, beached his Azimut in Cambodia.

I saw this on BoatTrader this morning.
Someone spent a lot of money to flip this boat so fast. 194 hours.

Anyone have a good recommendation for a shrink wrap company in the DC area? We're staying in the slip at our marina this winter and go figure Prince William can't shrink wrap on the water.
