Need Help With Too Small Trim Tabs

I havn't read the entire thread so forgive me if I reply in error. For the record I have 2003 340 dancer with 6.2L and have been trying to get the bow down using the tabs for a long time without any success. The reason for this is because the boat was porpoising (pushing water and not...

thank you very much...I will!! I was expecting to see some kind of spring loaded tensioner or slot bracket. I also suspect that this pulley is squeeking (bearings) and has a little bit of play....

    340 SUNDANCER THREAD

Any one out there have a 2003 340 Dancer SDA (the new one for that year...SDA) with the standard 6.2L V-drive. (also any 2004 or 2005 with this power). Have you re-proped with something other than the factory 17x19 3 bladed prop?

    Leaky teleflex water connections

SR used Teleflex marine red/blue water hoses with metal compression fittings on the ends. A couple of these connections continue to leak and actually get worse the more you tighten them. I ended up replacing a couple of these hose runs with RV pipeing and those quick connect fittings...

    underpowered and frustrated

Couldn't agree more. The journey is the destination. The 'underpowered' thing is about moving my sorry a%$ around the marina at idle speed. (bad title on post)...SR has said there is no better prop application for this hull...the 17X19 is the correct application and the specs are dead on...

    Your dock/slip fees--just curious

$29.50 per foot, Hilton Beach, Ontario, Can (North Channel, Lake Huron).....this Marina goes by the model number on the hull versus LOA which is nice. Anybody out there every heard of a marina actually measuring?

Yup......2 340s were built in 2003. SR refers to mine as the 2003 340 SDA (a mold that was used until 2008......3 captains chairs.....arctic white)......built in platform, 37.5 x 12

Agreed! Yesterday I had the boat in the shop for 27X29 cupped variable pitch wheels, had the bow thruster from a lake freighter installed (the V-birth is now gone), had a pair of Cummings Diesels put in (actually left the gas ones in for some extra poop in case its really blowing), volvo...

drawing a blank right now but forward idle is probably about 650 so there would be a little room......as I'm sure you know we need to stay below 1000 with this theory

The boat is on spec.....the captain is not. Don't worry about fendering up, I live in Canada and I just put the boat on the hard for the winter. It would appear there is little prop solution for this. As for the hazing.....by all means! My only beef is that it's criminal to waste really...

Gary......you're not listening to the question becuase your too interested in being entertaining! I don't want to go faster......36 is plenty. The prop bite is for dock control. I'm finding the boat is not responsive when I'm moving it around at idle speed 'There is a lag' that I thought...
