Finally fair temperatures has reached Stockholm and my "baby" Sundancer has found it's way back to it's correct element.
During the winter I've reconfigured my dash layout and added a MercMonitor ECO and installed a junctionbox. The SmartCraft displays works fine but the system link gauges are...
This is how it ended up. I'm not perfectly happy with the walnut look so I've got a second set at the paint shop, they will be satin black.
The trim-tab control has been upgraded and mounted over the screw-holes from the old plotter. If you plan to upgrade, make sure to get the right parts as...
Like every plan I make, I revise it as I go. :)
The plotter I ended up with was a Lowrance HDS-8, mainly because of their StructuralScan thingy which seems to be a funky gadget.
Anyway, I've (almost :D) decieded to put the plotter in the middle section and move the gauges to the side sections...
Thanks, I figured I needed two termination resistors in the system and from Henry's post I understand I can use the existing cable as it have a termination built-in.
I'll just disconnect it from the tach and jack it into the junction box instead. I buy a tach harness and connect it to the...
Thanks, I didn't mean to sound like I demanded an answer, just seeking advice.. English is obviously not my native tongue, so please excuse me if I sounded harsh - the Swedish Chef probably had the same issues ;)
I Google'ed my way trough documentation, and found the "Wiring for Smartcraft...

My installation looks like this too, and now I "need" to add an Eco-Monitor into my system.
The four-port junction box is simple, but then I need a cable to hook up the tach again and wonder if someone has a part# to share?
Another thing that confuse me is the thing about terminators, do I need...
Peter, do you have any pictures to share? Sounds like a nice installation!
As I have limited driving experience my question might be off, but don't the (Raymarine) plotter block the view when it's mounted on top of the dash? I don't want to have to drive standing to have a clear view.
I've recently bought a SR 240 DA from 2004 and are curious if someone figured out the best spot to install the plotter. The owner before me placed it in front of the trimtab controls making it a hassle to reach them.
I'm going to replace the Navman with a Garmin 720 (7").
Hi,
I've just joined this community and recently got a 240 DA (2004) with a Mercruiser 5.0 w/ Bravo III - my first Sea Ray.
My boating mainly take place in the Baltic Sea (around Stockholm archipilago) and I also have a sailing boat (Beneteau First 31.7).
Unfortunately the autum is here so...
