I think I hit the same log you did this summer. I was directly across from Fort Washington and BAM!... Real hard, thought I knocked a hole in the hull. limped back to the Occoquan and had the boat hauled a few days later. Just one bent prop was all. I did win this years Bent Prop Award...
Guys, let me help you out. I am the guy who made the "Quick Removable" Chocks a few years back. Are you trying to find the hold downs that I made for my products or are you just trying to find the Stainless Stove Bolts that came originally from GHS?
Once you get to Kent Narrows, if you go in the North entrance thru the narrow channel, be very careful if you happen to come in at Low tide. It got down to 3ft and my props bumped the bottom a couple months back. No known damage. I was doing 3 kts at the time.
I did the same thing you did one night on the hook. Something to think about is wonder if we had both tanks at 3/4 full and we did that? I'm thinkin we would pump a lot of fuel overboard?
Ok, I'll jump in on this one. A man holding a flash light is standing on a flatbed train car and the train is moving 80 mph. If the man turns on the flash light and points it in the same direction as the train is moving, how fast is the light traveling when it leaves the flashlight?
In theory, yes. Bigger fan equals more air. But the factory air flow problem does not stem from the size of the fan, the factory problem is the route of the air. It's kind of like blowing air thru a straw, the harder you blow, the more air will flow, but it gets to a point where no matter...
The system in the Aft and the system in the bow are just extensions of the system in the Salon. On the bow extension, if you choose FM radio, the feed is coming from the Salon system. However, if you choose FM radio from the Master, the FM comes from the receiver in the Master. The VIP does...
Interesting, mine is a 2008. Mine is number 341, being the 41st hull they built I believe. Like I said, I look at boats for sale all the time just for fun and have never seen anither 3 bed version of the 55/58.
I’d like you guys to think about something. The cockpit unit on 48 dancer is a 2 ton unit.
2 tons! 24,000 Btu’s. That’s enough to cool complete townhouses and apartments. Shouldn’t you be able to cool the cockpit of a boat? Yes there is a tremendous heat load but still? Really? The...
Great Responses guys. What you are looking at is pictures from my last boat, a 2005 48 Sundancer. That is the Cockpit AC system I relocated to under the left rear bedroom bed. It allowed me to keep the Cockpit any temperature I wanted, any day of the year. And, there was no noise in the...
Good Point. I powered my Garmin on my dinghy directly off the battery, but I used a lighted indicator type switch so that I can visually see the switch is on. That might work?. Nice project you have there.
Any Particular reason you chose to not run the lights of the engine start battery? I would think the Amp draw would be minor and the Alternator on the engine would easily keep the Battery charged. Nice ideas you have though. Me like.
