Ray 240 will Tx but no Rx

Thanks for the replies. It's a Raymarine Ray240. I should have realized the potential lack of clarity of the "Ray 240" on a Sea Ray forum! LOL It was the remote speaker. I was afraid it was something more with the intermittent failure last fall.

Ray 240 will Tx but no Rx

I had an intermittent problem last fall with receiving on all channels. This spring there is no reception, but according to the Corps the transmission is fine. Any ideas on some quick troubleshooting?

8 day cruise on upper mississippi river

Thanks for the video, Ed. Nice to see our boat moored at Marquis at 14:11 of the video. Not sure what time or day you passed the The Burger Boat before entering Auxiliary 14, but it looked really quiet. The Corps opening the auxiliary locks on holidays and weekends is fantastic for PC in our area

How brand loyal are you ??

Oh, yeah! I would if I could... The 510DA is more boat than what is practical here, not to mention the budget. Even though it has the "atrium" effect, it still has the ladder to the galley/living area. It's not the closed in "cave" feeling that so many anti-DA people speak of. We don't mind...

How brand loyal are you ??

I consider myself brand loyal in all things. When I find something that works, I stick with it. We purchased our current Sea Ray as a gateway to crusing and weekending as we recently became empty nesters. The size was bigger than expected, (we were looking hard at 340DA) but the price was...

Hot water heater on 40/390 Sundancer

The water distribution manifold (and hot water heater) are under the back bench in the midships cabin area. You can use any of the valves or disconnect any or all of the water lines and use that as your bypass. Good luck.

    40 Sundancer Pump Location

I have 8.1HO, so the configuration may be different because of engine room layout, but the autopilot pump is on the aft bulkhead of the engine room just to the starboard side of the trim tab pump. I can try to grab some pics this weekend. I have the Northstar system.

    My Fellow Veterans

Likewise to you and yours, Lance and all the other vets. Four years active duty in the USCG during peace time always seems like a small measure of "duty" in comparison to those who served and sacrificed during war, but I'm still proud to have worn a uniform in service of the country.

Ottawa, IL to Confluence of Mississippi river in April

Deep! We were used to locks on the Mississippi with 10-20' drops. You can see the numbers on the charts, but 70' comes to mind. The nice thing is that they had floating bollards instead of dropping lines. You should only have 3 locks which are pretty shallow. 20' at Starved Rock, and 10' at...

Ottawa, IL to Confluence of Mississippi river in April

I had it planned out for last Spring to take it from Lk Mich, down the Illinois and up the Mississippi home. The Mississippi had major flooding, so we were going to stop in Peoria and boat there until the Miss came back down. We made it down from Winthrop Hbr, Lk Michigan, Chicago Rvr, Des...

Ray E120 Settings - On boat now

The heading (HDG) or bearing (BRG) (direction boat's pointed) vs. the course of ground (COG) would vary, or seem to drift based on wind and current effect on the boat. Your 44 has much more "sail area" than your 340, so you will notice it more. You should be able to toggle display between COG...

    Passerelle, Transom System

Well, I'll be! I thought they were using an existing nautical term for something else... WOuld have bet big bucks that it wasn't really a gang plank! Though I'd never get one, it sure looks cool! Thanks for the pic!

    Passerelle, Transom System

It's an option on a 2011 470 Dancer. Anyone know what the heck that is? I know what a passerelle is on a ship, but is that really an option on a 41' yacht?!?! ETA: $25,833.00 option!!

Windshield - Sunscreen - Sunbrella View Panarama

I am considering having a sunscreen made of the Sunbrella View Panarama fabric. http://www.sailrite.com/Sunbrella-View-Panorama-Natural-White-39004-0000-60 The features seem ideal. Does anyone have any experience with it, or any personal knowledge of the performance? On a side note... Is...
