Fellow CSR friends,
I'm still laughing my a$$ off on the virgin's sacrifice, it almost sounds legal... so we'll see what can be done on that regard! ;)
Now my apologies for dissapearing for a few days. Mainly Seller and I were waiting for almost 10 days (an eternity, I fell...) for the bank...
BTW, I really appreciate everyone's help, tips, advices, and even offers to help me pilot this baby home... it gave me a lot of comfort and security to complete this purchase!
Regarding transportation, I´m tending to just hire a professional boat hauler... what do you think? Should I accept...
OK, so I'm finally back from Tom's River, NJ with my update from the inspection and trial to my thread readers, as promised:
Firstly big thanks to RONDDS for helping me out with the LPM contacts. Given my lack of familiarity with the boat I tried to hire a boat surveyor for a pre-purchase...
I need a boating license first... even though I have several hours driving my family's boats, I still need a US license before I can take the trip. How long will thta take me? Where can I do the course and get the license here in Connect.?
Thanks!
Thanks for the advice, Ron!
In fact the boat had a significant financial lien on it, and the owner wanted me to pay off the loan, to which I refused by explaining to him he could not transfer the title and I would be uncovered. Given the seller was not short of money (he is upgrading his Sea...
I personally never owned a boat, but for as far as my memory goes my family always had boats. We've started with a small Scarab 19" (i think), moved into a mid-size Sea Ray, then we made a big leap and bought a run down Ferretti 330 which we refurbished from scratch and looked wonderful. Now...
It was a good deal, apparently. The gentleman selling was a super nice Chiropractic Doctor who's trading up for a 330 Sundance. The eBay deal is going 100% smooth, no fraud, no misleading, nothing. Very lucky I guess.
I got a quote for a brand new 2010 Sundancer 260 with all possible discounts...
Mark,
Many thanks, and indeed I need a slip for the rest of the year. I was going to use Brewers Yard Havens, but could definitley check with you too. Let me know if we can meet at the marina later this week.

Ponte Vedra
Rcknecht,
The boat is at Lighthouse Point Marina, NJ, and I'm going tomorrrow (tuesday) at 2pm to check it out. I'd be delighted if you have a spare time to help me out... my cell is 203-326-1518.
Many thanks,

Hello to all new and old members!
After moving to the USA a year ago, I finally took some courage and bought a 2008 Sea Ray 260 Sundancer... the only detail is that I did it via eBay. Am I nuts? Probably... I didn´t even check the boat, just bought it an hour ago, so looking forward to go...
