You've got an issue that can be caused by a miriad of things. Has the boat sat for a long time? If it's stalling at idle, I would check the easy things first, i.e., fuel filter/water seperator, fuel filter inside your carb, etc. If all is well there, then check the next obvious issues -...

My neighbor did it. Monsterous pain in the ass. Then he had to swap drives, to match up to the engines. Not sure about the engine grid and all that, but I imagine that putting a V8 where a 4 once sat would require some mods or some new/different parts.
