I have a 2008 280 with the digital smartcraft LCD display. When the sun is out they are very hard to see. Is this common or is their possibly a backlighting issue. Any other thoughts?
I had them replaced - they removed the door tracks, roller balls and guides, clean and inspected, replaced worn parts, and reinstalled. Total time was 7.5 hours and cost was $1,050 including parts. Works great now
I just took ownership of a 2008 with twin 5.0 engines, closed cooling and Genset. I have two questions:
Can the cushion covers be removed and washed - i see they have zippers on the bittom sides?
How do you remove the bolsters in the cabin, i would like to recover them?

I am considering purchasing a 2009 280 with a pewter hull. Are there issues with this color and or the model year. Thanks for any help you can provide.
A related question - I am finding a good bit of water around the sump in that area. I do not have asecond pump and the water sits there. Can anyone tell me where this area drains to - is it the engine bilge.

I noticed my outdrive has play in it and can swing as much as two to three inches with a push or when moved by the current while anchoring. is this normal or does it need adjustment?
Went for a three hour ride, when I got back docked the gear lube reservoir was empty and gear oil was in the bilge. the reservoir was full when I left. The alarm did not sound and there was no indication of any problem, even in the way everything sounded. How bad is this going to be?
Try this site, I have gotten speaker spacers from them for that exact reason. i spray painted them white and it worked out great.
