yup, I agree with Wetpaint. Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina is where I always stay when we go to Newport. Its close to all the action, but quite enough when you don't want to hear all the noise.
I'm heading to Nantucket for 6 nights between 8/6 - 8/13. I had to take out a 2nd mortgage to pay for it.
Is there anyone else planning a trip to Nantucket, let me know...I'd love to meet up for a cocktail or 2.
I have the maxi tabs (like in the video above). Mine are 6 or 7 years old and the biggest problem is the mounting brackets. They are made so taht you can take the TABs on and off. If you are in any sort of choppy water, the top bracket keeps coming out and the tabs don't do anything then...
Are any of you Northeast CSR members going over the MV for the 4th? I'll be heading over to Oak Bluffs on July 2nd and will be there until Friday July 8th. If any CSR folks are over there, stop by Salesman Ship for cocktail.
Wetpaint-
BassAckwards weekend is July 30th (Saturday). You should plan on coming up to Cataumet (Kingman) that weekend......even if we don't get that many takers from the CSR crowd. Its a real good time, I promise you that.
If you are coming from Hyannis, you could head to Cataument...
I'm in for Block Is. or the Kingman event. Block Island in June is tough for me because both my kids have sports / activities until near the end of June......so planning the weekend in June is tough.
If we did the Vineyard, I could head over after Saturday sports...and be there in time for...
Alright, I'm on it.
If you guys want to do something around Buzzards Bay, I would suggest we have a Rendevouz at Kingman during a weekend called "BassAckward Race". Like many good parties / drinking weekends it started out as a sail boat race. There is stuff going on all weekend, but the...
Alright, I'm on it.
CapeCodCruiser, thats a great idea about having everyone come to Kingman for Bass Ackwards next year. That is really good time.
Were you out there this year?
I'm not sure where you can get the official information, but I can tell you that I burn (on avg) 17.5 Gals / hour. I have a 2000 400 with 3116 CATs.
It has been around this number for the past 3 seasons (as long as I have owned the boat).
Charlie - sorry to hear about your accident.
I have been going thru Woods Hole for years and had the same thing happen to me last season. As someone else mentioned, Woods Hole is very unforgiving....if you lose your position or take your eye off the ball, for even a minute......you can end...
Any CSR members going to be on Block Island this weekend (Aug 13-15)? I am going over on Friday morning and staying at Champlins.
Stop by Salesman Ship for a margarita!!
I went thru Woods Hole yesterday at around 12:15PM. I must have just missed that from happening. It was really busy going thru....a lot of traffic.
That is a tough area if you don't follow the charts and markers exactly.
How about the weekend of Aug 20-22 at Kingman. Even if folks want to anchor out, there is a small island - Bassetts Island with plenty of room to anchor.
