I have a feeling there are going to be winds out of the east that may make for a bit of a rough time on the sound on Friday into Saturday. Forecast is calling for cloudy skies and a slight chance of showers. Doesn't look like a great boating day. Sunday and Monday are looking better
If I am understanding this correctly, the engine stops running when you release the "PreHeat" switch? I believe this switch controls the chock. My genny would not run without that switch activated. I actually taped it down to keep things running. It turned out that the carburetor was all...
Definitely change the filters, but also be sure when you pump out you rinse the waste line from the deck fitting down. Since I use No Flex, I make some in a cup and pour it down the deck fitting. Smell usually goes away after that. If your system is backing up, you may want to replace the...
How are you connecting the remote to the Fusion head unit? Do you have the proper cables, etc? Mine is connected via a SeaTalk network which required a special NEMA to SeaTAlk Cable

Mattituck is definitely within your 3 1/2 hour range. I am across the sound from you in New Rochelle so it is approximately the same distance for me. We stay at Strong's Water Club. Northport, Huntington and Port Jeff are also great suggestions and you could also break up the trip a bit by...
Not sure where your homeport is, so that makes it hard to offer suggestions. All of those offered are great destinations. There is also Mattituck, nice little town and you can hire a car and do some excellent wine tasting, shop the framers markets etc.
My guess is the batteries were discharged during the time you were "hanging out". The second engine fired up after the batteries recovered their charge. Assuming you were plugged into shore power overnight, the batteries again were able to recharge and this allowed the engines to start up...
