:huh:i have a "79" vintage 260 wkndr. 350/260 hp--is their a reason i can't use a new "HEI" system on this motor--as far as i can tell it seems safer then the old style distr. -coil-extra wiring-coil wire,and the lot--just my thoughts,and ?

old woodwork---appr.100 hrs. redo--all hand rub oils
old finish--appr. 60 hrs. wash tsp-wet sand 600,and buff
new top,and reupholstered all seats + sideboards myself
restriped entire boat myself

my feeling's also--i don't use that much chain,but i do use at least 10 ft. 3/8's (26' da) i mostly anchor on the columbia --with about a 3-4 knot currant,but i don't stay overnite in this area-

welcome aboard ! ya --joe it's hard to downsize--i stay with the 26' cuz i trailer from columbia to home ,and to oregon coast,and it serves it's purpose well !

welcome aboard ! i just thought about it, i'm going to have to winterise in a month or so,but at least i can finish up the fall run of steelhead,and salmon in the next few weeks on the columbia--oh happy day's !!
