I have a Mercruiser 350 MPI on a 2007 260DA. Was coming into port last weekend and stalled as I entered no wake zone. Made it back to slip and thought nothing of it. This weekend she won’t start unless I give some gas in neutral and the she stalls again. Thinking it was IAC. Asked marina...
My depth finder stopped working this season. I had the boat pulled for another reason and looked on the bottom of hull. Took a picture but can’t figure out if clouding on the hull would prohibit transducer from working. Any ideas or experiences I can tap into?

I have a 250 DA and depth gauge stopped working. The boat was pulled for another issue, so took a picture of the transducer in the hull. The question is will transducer still work with the “muck” on the outside of transducer as shown in pic. Or is it time for new transducer?
thanks!!
My boat was recently commissioned (mid-May) and was supposed to have been painted with new zincs. The boat had to be taken out of the water last weekend due to a leaking hot water heater that filled the bilge because the bilge pump was not working and the engine hatch was not working.
While...
Had the marina mechanic take a look - they pulled the boat out. Turns out the engine hatch problem was due to a magnetic switch that keeps the hatch from opening if the stern door is closed. Funny thing is the boat was just commissioned, so this should not have been a problem. The factory...
Three problems: 1. My engine hatch is not working 2. my bilge pump is not working; 3. leak from engine coolant hose. Boat SOL.
Opened access hatch to pull pin, only to find it is not a pin but a nut and bolt. Cannot unscrew nut and bolt with one hand due to only being able to fit one hand in...
I have my suspisions about mechanics motives. I leave the drive in the down position in the slip, dry stack in winter and boat is in water from May - October. The boat is 5 years old, so based on feedback, this seems to be about the lifespan of bellows, correct?
My mechanic says the bellows on my 2007 260 Dancer need to be replaced. I have 180 hours (80 hours in fresh water/100 hours in salt). I have never been through this before. Is this the average life of the bellows? What are the usual costs to replace? Appreciate the advice of experts. Thanks...
could be 2 problems which i recently encountered. If the readings no longer show up on the SC you have to re-calibrate the SC. If the reading shows up on the SC and is inaccurate, then it is transducer. Transducer could be gummed up.
Thanks. Just returned from boat and had to re-calibrate (Cal 1) to get it on. Turns out that having my water psi sensor changed caused the SC to reset itself and turn off the depth sounder.
I just had the distributor cap and water psi sensor replaced and the bottom power washed. Next time I take the boat out, the depth finder and water temp don't show up on the SmartCraft readings. Did a master reset but no help. The odd thing is the depth and water temp don't even show up on...
