    Lake Powell is 500' deep at the dam. It is not uncommon for the side canyons to be deep as well. At this particular point the depth is probably at least 60', maybe 100'. I've attached a picture of a tour boat I down loadded from http://www.lakepowell.com/discover/photos--videos.aspx.

    Mwph, this part of the canyon is about 30' across. Seems narrow but a 70' tour boat navigates this passage several times a week. MM, Bucit - I will keep the calendar in mind. Thanks for the comments. I've attached a picture of Rainbow Bridge.
