Hello, I will be leaving my boat in saltwater for a week this summer. We were hesitant to do it since we trailer, flush, and clean after every use. Can I flush the motor with the muffs while the boat is in the water? Will that be better then not flushing for a week? I have a 185 Sport 3.0 merc...

For those of you who go to High Bar Harbor, where do you anchor? The lighthouse (North side) or public park (South side)? We trailer our boat in Surf City (LBI) to the bay for day trips, go to Tice's occasionally but it's been crazy there.

Check to be sure that the wires are doing the same thing from radio to radio. The colors may not match up. Could you post the model # of both radios?

I've had the same question, just bought our boat in the beginning of the season and previous owner didn't want to drill the hole so he ran the cable up through the platform and under the hatches and up to the front. It's not the best looking solution by far but at least he wired it correctly...

Problem solved. Talked to a local mechanic down the street and he said that if these alarm units or connections get wet, the alarm will sound even though there is no engine issue. Took the alarm out, dried it with a hairdryer, put some CRC on the connections and reinstalled the unit. No longer...
