    Indoor storage in NJ?

I believe Key Harbor Marina in Waretown, NJ still has heated indoor storage. We kept our 240 SD there one winter probably 10 years ago. Way too expensive! http://www.keyharbormarina.com/marina.html

    2012 185 Sport GPS/Fish Finder Suggestions

I can vouch for the 431s. Got it in the beginning of the summer when Garmin had a bunch of rebates. Absolutely love it, best thing I have ever bought for the boat. Nice compact unit that displays exactly what I like to see. I usually have it on the chart plotter screen and it shows the depth...

    Question on GPS

DBurne, I highly recommend the Garmin 4xx/5xx line. I just bought the 421s...Garmin is having a promotion right now, when you buy a qualified chartplotter and g2 vision card (the highest quality chart with all the fancy options) they give you a $200 rebate. I bought them both from BOE Marine...

    Flushing engine while in slip

Thank you everyone for the responses. Sounds like I have little to worry about, was just hesitant because we've never left it in the water.

    Flushing engine while in slip

Hello, I will be leaving my boat in saltwater for a week this summer. We were hesitant to do it since we trailer, flush, and clean after every use. Can I flush the motor with the muffs while the boat is in the water? Will that be better then not flushing for a week? I have a 185 Sport 3.0 merc...

Anybody here tie up aty Tice's Shoal? Barnegat, Bay, NJ

For those of you who go to High Bar Harbor, where do you anchor? The lighthouse (North side) or public park (South side)? We trailer our boat in Surf City (LBI) to the bay for day trips, go to Tice's occasionally but it's been crazy there.

Stereo Install with remote on Sea Ray 210

Check to be sure that the wires are doing the same thing from radio to radio. The colors may not match up. Could you post the model # of both radios?

Depth finder question, 2007 185 Sport

Thanks Carrera Dan. I'm sure it's the Humminbird 610 or similar. Glad to hear it has worked well for you, I'd like to do the same, keep the hole drilling to a minimum but want quality depth readings. I wonder if the hull on the 2007 is the same as your 2004.

Depth finder question, 2007 185 Sport

Lazy Daze, Thank you very much for the information. According to Garmin (called them) the old transom transducer should work with the four hundred “s” lineup of plotters/sounders. I’m a little worried about remounting the transducer because of the extra holes but I guess they are pretty...

Depth finder question, 2007 185 Sport

Hello everyone, Does anyone have experience with an in-hull (puck) transducer for the 2007 185 Sport? Previous owner had installed a Garmin 160C, mounted the transom transducer, but didn't drill a hole to run the wire correctly and just ran it under the sunpad. The 160C with transom transducer...

    hole for transducer cable

I've had the same question, just bought our boat in the beginning of the season and previous owner didn't want to drill the hole so he ran the cable up through the platform and under the hatches and up to the front. It's not the best looking solution by far but at least he wired it correctly...

Engine Alarm constant on 185 Sport 3.0L TKS Alpha Sterndrive

Problem solved. Talked to a local mechanic down the street and he said that if these alarm units or connections get wet, the alarm will sound even though there is no engine issue. Took the alarm out, dried it with a hairdryer, put some CRC on the connections and reinstalled the unit. No longer...

Engine Alarm constant on 185 Sport 3.0L TKS Alpha Sterndrive

Hello everyone, I have a 2007 185 Sport with a 3.0L engine. There are 40 hours on the boat. At 20 hours, we had a full service done by Sea Ray mechanic. Today while out in the water, the engine alarm started going off and would not stop. The boat was fine for about an hour. We stopped to put...
