Yea, not to burst your bubble but I would avoid Fram filters at all cost. They used to be good filters until they switched to an overseas manufacturer. I agree with Gunn get a Wix (or Napa Gold), one of the best out there.

Yea, we went Thursday night. It was nice to see some boats and start getting back into the boating mood, but I agree it was lame. Each year there are less and less cruisers and more and more pontoon and ski boats. We boarded a total of three boats to look around.
How many models of pontoon...
We are hoping to go out for one last cruise of the season this week. With that we would like to visit Saugatuck for a few hours and walk around at the shops. Is there a good place to tie up for a few hours near downtown?
Last time we did this the marina on the north side let us tie up but...
Depends on how much skiing you plan on doing. My wife occasionally ski's behind our 26' Sundancer, but it's not something you would want to do all day or with a lot of people. I have the 7.4 liter with an Alpha1.
A hole saw chucked up in a drill would probably be best for cutting it. Just keep the speed slow so you do not "shatter" the plastic, or melt it. Same goes for the fiberglass. You can see behind the fiberglass correct? You should be able to steer clear of any cables then. You may want to...
Wow, 73 degrees on Superior has to be close to a record! We just spent 2 weeks up on Torch Lake (deep lake just east of Grand Traverse Bay) and the water was 78 degrees on most of the lake. Talking with some of the locals they said they can not remember Torch ever being that warm.
That was my thought as well, and external cup for the gauge and mount either near wheel, or on top of dash (if there is room) otherwise how about flush mounting it on the flat area of fibreglass to the left of the wheel? You would just need a hole saw the size of the gauge.

Not knowing your boat and dash layout I cannot say much other than I would try and find another location for the gauge. While not necessarily and emergency gauge I would like to have good visibility to my volt gauge whenever operating the boat. It can help diagnose small problems before they...
I have had success with them on smaller boats I have owned in the past, but from what I have read they loose their effectiveness on boats larger than 24' or so.
Some have said they have success using tabs to help get on plane. I have found they just create more drag and make it worse, YMMV...
The swim ladder on my boat has just the stainless steel tubes, no "step pads" or anything like that. One step has what is left of what appears to be original padding material wrapped around it, and the other step has nothing. I am looking to replace this as there is not much left of it. Any...
We have started our search for a larger/newer boat. While my wife and I agree we would like to stick with a Sea Ray or Regal, we came across what seems like a decent deal on a 1995 Monterey 276 Cruiser. I has most of the options that we are looking for, at first glance seems like a good boat...
