    Official (1998-2002) 310 Sundancer Thread

I had mine replaced when I bought it because it was cracked. I had to get in there last season to track down a leak, the mirror is a standard rectangle; it's just the opening in front of it that's oval. Shouldn't be a big deal - remove one of the sides and slide the mirror out.

Looking to Upgrade Question -- MarineMax "Makeover Boat?"

In my case, we went from a 260 right up to a 310. Now my boats were older (both 2000's) - and my 2000 310 is much bigger than the current 310's. I would advise against going from a 240 to a 280. With your family, if you're serious about spending a lot of time on the boat, you need at least a...

    What is this thing ??

Wow I'm stumped. I'd definitely put a label over it with something like "Self-Destruct Switch" or "Torpedo Launcher"

    Sticky drawers

Maybe I should re-title this thread.... Anyway, the galley drawers on my 2000 310 Sundancer are getting harder and harder to slide open and closed. I've taken the drawers out, cleaned up the slides and re-installed. But they still just don't glide as well as (I think) they should. I've tried...

Windlass mishap - my wife came thisclose to losing two fingers yesterday

So after spending a lovely morning on the hook in Garbage cove yesterday, we had to pull anchor and head in for a friend's pool party. So, since we are trying to teach our 9-year old son the ropes of boating, my wife headed up front to show him how the windlass operates and we pull up the...

Hi Charlie, Looks great - will you be leaving those on when running? I'm curious as to how quickly they dry after getting a good soaking... Thanks, Keith

Removing / refinishing Sea Ray "brass" logo's

Finally removed them - yup, plastic coated with some kind of metallic finish... Popped them off with fishing line used as dental floss. Took awhile with fingernails and then Oops to remove all the adhesive. I think I'll wait before replacing them, it looks really nice and clean with nothing on...

    Official (1998-2002) 310 Sundancer Thread

Hi Bill - I don't think there's a gasket to put there. In fact I think is should be left clear to allow water to drain off the back of the boat; if there's anything blocking the channel, the water backs up and drips onto the engines. Just ask any dog owner about that... The engines are loud -...

    New Corinthian Carpet

Hi Todd - any user report on the swim platform carpet? I'm 90% there with committing, but how quickly does it dry in the sun? It really looks great. Thanks, Keith

I gave it a good cleaning - thank God for rubber gloves - inside the hole. Seems to be working fine. I'm putting off tearing it down and replacing the duck valves until I absolutely have to... Thanks for the tips, Keith

Head water draining out of bowl

Hi - new issue with the toilet. The water is very slowly draining out of the bowl throughout the day. I went in there and cleaned it up very thoroughly, this has happened before when a piece of whatever is stuck there and the ball valve doesn't quite close all the way. Is there a gasket or...

    Water in bilge area normal.???

Hi Bill, I spent two hours a couple weeks ago in the bilge cleaning out all the old oily water (had a generator oil leak last season thanks to my previous service people overfilling the generator with oil). Soaked up all the water except for a slight bit (1" or so) way down in the back below the...

WTB - Rub Rail End Cap - needed

is it $45 each, or $45 for the pair? $45 for a pair seems only expensive. $45 each seems like they are "marine-grade". You would think that since they are poorly designed and pop off if you look at them crooked, Sea Ray might do the right thing about pricing replacements... Sorry if I'm being...
