    Lake Erie to Florida

Yes, it was in this century - in the September of 1999 and I am talking CAD $. The price at the marinas in the US were about $ 1.19 to $2.25 per GAL at the time - depending on where I filled up along the way.

    Lake Erie to Florida

For what it's worth to you: I took a trip in my SR225 from Bowmanville, Ontario (just east of Toronto) across Lake Ontario to Oshwego, down the Erie Canal to Troy, NY, down the Hudson into the Atlantic, down to Cape May, then the Intra Costal to Virgina Beach - about half ways to Florida. This...

    Depth Gage Location

I am not sure about your model, but if it helps, I have a 250DA and my transducer is mounted right in the bilge area on the starboard side under the engine. The transom transducer should have a metal bracket that screws right into the transom, about 6" off the center line on eighter side of the...

New Chevy truck ad with classic Sea Ray in tow

I pulled my SRX225, 1981 (6500lbs empty weight plus 1000lbs for the trailer) with my 2005 Grand Cherokee 5.7 HEMI from Toronto to Florida - no problem. That truck handles the load excellent. Very smooth ride - lots of spare power and very good on gas. The whole trip - 1500 miles - cost me only...

    Help Id the Stove Please

It is mostlikely a Kenyon stove. I needed parts for mine on my 1981 SRV225. I contacted them through their website http://kenyonappliances.com and they shipped me the parts within a few days - no problem. If you don't find the model number on the stove, just take a picture and email it to them...

Your prop should be 15.25 x 15 and that will rev the engine to max. 4600 - 4700 rpm when running wide open. That's what mine does and I have no problem coming "out of the hole" even with 4 - 5 people on board. Excellent "hole shot"!

I have the same boat - same year. Does yours have trim tabs? If yes, make sure they are fully down (bow down position) before you take off. Also, make sure your out drive is fully down. Other then that, it would be propeller related - wrong prop.

Here are a few pics of a Marine alternator - they are sealed units to prevent any sparks, where a car altinator is open and it does spark.

    Car alternator for boat

Well, here are more details: I had the marina pumpimg the fuel out - about 30 GAL. The guy said he is using the sanitary pump-out hose, that goes into a holding tank. While he is pumping it out, and older guy on the dock comes over and asked the marina guy where he was pumping the gas into...

Re: Car alternator for boat - very bad idea!! Very bad idea!!! I tell you guys what happened to me: I stopped at a Marina to get gas. I told the gas bar attendant to put $100 in and I go inside the store to pay for it. I had a friend of mine with me that had never been on a boat and I left...
