Hello, I ran it yesterday, in the slip and not under a load or above 1800 rpm. I saw no sign of anything leaking. I’ll run it out on the water this weekend and report back.

I understand. I read all about electrolysis. I had no clue about all that. I’ve ordered the correct anodes for fresh water and I’ll look into new bonding straps as well. I plan on adding those aftermarket skegs too. Thanks for your input.
Thank for your reply. The boats very clean inside and out. By far the cleanest I’ve seen. That was the only concern on the survey and did get a great discount for the lower units. Should the outdrives be protected with paint like the hull?
Thanks for the reply. It will be kept in fresh water. I will pull the props and check round the seals. Shouldn’t these be painted like the hull to protect the outdrives? If so, what’s the best paint? Thanks.
Looking to purchase a 04 280DA. I had the survey done and here are some of the findings. The boat is over all in good shape minus a few things and then these lower units. They look past the point of being cleaned up, I’m quite certain they need to be replaced. Thoughts? TIA.
