Ex SeaRay owner killed on Detroit river

Does anyone know if Rob Chile’s was a member of CSR? He owned SeaRay prior to his purchase of a 2017 39ft Nor-Tech. His boat flipped on the Detroit River killing him and his friend Rev Stephen Rooney. Rest In Peace Rob...

    Hello Again

Been a long summer with illness so Old Skool has lived on the trailer. Started to work on her again adding a new carb and such. Sad to say she may not see water this year. That's the nice thing about her being paid for, no rush to use her before she's ready. LOL

    Hello Again

Well here I am again. Been a while an Old Skool has been setting on the trailer since I last posted. Things get in the way but now it look like I have some time to get back to her again. The knife business has been epic and taken much time. Looking forward to reconnecting and finding out where...

    I'm back.

I'm trying to get Old Skool back in the water after a brief hiatus. Ordered up a new 2 bl carb and installed however I can't get it to idle down past 900rpm. Idle adjust screw is backed all the way off the linkage. Any ideas? Linkage may be incorrect? The part number was a direct cross from the...

What prop are you using on a 2004 Sea Ray 185 sport with the 4.3 V6?

Generally the range is 4400-4800 RPM for the 4.3. Sounds like you are good with either prop. Not sure about the trim. At that RPM and prop size you should be jumping on plain very quickly.

Hey buddy, Just was trolling for the first time in a year and you were the first to come up. Great to hear you are still hanging in there. Been tough last years for me with wife meds and finances but we are back in it again. More boat pics to come after we splash. Stay well my friend.

    Runaway Windshield Wipers

Usually the wiper motors have an internal ground that parks the wiper when you shut it off. If the ground goes bad it can start on it's own or be intermittent. If you turn the wipers on and then off and they do not park in the correct position or continue to run until they decide to shut off...

Anyone have any input on changing from a 15 dia three blade to a 14 something 4 blade? Seen lots of 4 blade props but never had one.

    Hit Some Rocks, Ouch

I posted last week about my prop hitting a rock at the dock. Trashed it too. Try rigging an external ground to the battery from the negative post on the starter. If the starter does not have a negative lead then the case would be the ground. Take the jumper cable and ground the case to the...

    I'm Baaaaaack.

It's always nice to come home Mark. I was going to trade Old Skool for a new model last season but the grand kids wouldn't hear of it. They grew up on her so I guess she'll be around for awhile. Besides everything on her is near new.
