    185 Sport - Won't start, just beeps

Thanks for all the suggestions. When starting the relay clicks but The engine doesn't try to turn over. I replaced the relay and same clicking from it. Both batteries full charged, even tried to jump start, no change. Any new ideas?

    185 Sport - Won't start, just beeps

Hey all. Got married last June and boat hasn't gotten the use it deserves. Getting ready to sell it, just finished detailing it, now wanted to change the oil and make sure everything was running before listing it. Went to crank it up with water hooked up, I get the beep as I turn the key...

New Stereo works with 2 batteries, not 1?

OK, first off thank you for everyone's replies, I really appreciate it. Here is what we did today to try to figure out the issue. The radio wires run somehow to the back of the boat, and turn into a larger gauge wire, which I believe is connected with the rest of the electronics of the...

New Stereo works with 2 batteries, not 1?

Hello all, First I wanted to say I did search through the forums but didn't see a direct question like mine, so any help would be appreciated. Today I went down to West Marine and purchased the Dual MXCP66 stereo head units / speaker set. I have SeaRay speakers already on my 185Sport so I...

    Boat Day 4-24-10

There are hotels all around the area within a few minute drives to boat ramps. I would recommend launching at Belleair Boat Ramp, it's close to Sand Key and Clearwater beach / Shepards and all the good stuff. 3900 W. Bay Dr...

To Buy or Not to Buy...

Call a couple of boat surveyors, reputable ones, you should do that before you buy used anyway, they usually don't mind answer these types of questions as your shopping for the right boat as long as you plan on using them for the survey once you decide on a boat.

First time Boater - 185 Sport

Yes, 4.3L...my mistake. Engine is more then enough, I was surprised how fast it getty up and goes! I am just happy I got it now so I can get some practice in before the season opens up to a very crowded bay area!

First time Boater - 185 Sport

Thank you, Yeah the top needs to be tighten for sure! I went to west Marine and bought a couple of new fenders, the one in the picture was the only one that came with the boat. Also picked up a cover for it and of course washing supplies. Spent a good 4 hours cleaning it after yesterday's...
