Well, yea. I would assume if they SEE something on the scanner, they would want to check it out. So that part jives. What doesn't work is how they are doing that, and the impact on the people they are doing it to.

The problem with Moore taking on an issue - is that what you get is what Moore believes is reality. Presented in a way that the general public takes it as fact. So, I think I'd rather see the Coen brothers do it. Then nobody would assume it is fact.

If your boat is in the water, then something like BoatSafe is all you will need. If your boat is on a lift (that is, in the slip but NOT sitting in the water), then I think you need to winterize.

That may improve it some (just out of sheer awareness and backlash). But the private screeners still have to follow TSA guidelines - including pat-downs when required. They don't get to opt out of security, or choose their own guidelines or operating procedures.
