Hi all.
I sold my beautiful 200 BR in preparation for 2ftitis and I'm pleased to announce that I have a bad case of it; coincidentally, just in time for the Seattle Boat Show.
I wanted to actually skip the two foot thing and jump up four feet. The trouble is, there aren't many 240 Selects...
I understand that 2 more feet seems to make sense but what really is the reason you change boats. I've noticed ownership progression that goes a little like 200 BR to 220 or 240 Sundeck to 260 DA....
I've had my 2003 200 BR for 2 months. First boat. I love it. Love the openess, love the...
It seems anything over about 25 mph and up and down we go. It stops if i trim the leg right in.
I'm not experienced, but this is what i do: get to my cruising rpm of about 3200 and speed will be over 20 mph and then trim out; the boat speed will increase and I'll trim out a bit more. It...
Finally had enough of drifting around, so i bought an anchor kit.
My 200 BR has an anchor locker, but i'm a little concerned about how to get all that chain out of there without messing up my gelcoat. Any tips?
Also, how do you tie off? the cleats are on either side of the locker. do...
I don't know if this is related to the charging problem i had (or have). I am getting a very low audible alarm, but the gauges are all generally fine.
I though it might be due to a low battery again, so i shut down and switched batteries, but it didn't help. I said 'generally fine'...
I seem to be losing some drive oil.
Its down from full to add in about 15 hours of boating. No sign of oil on the drive, but it probably gets washed away.
Also, i noticed the Mercury brand of drive oil is twice the price. Is it worth it?
My 200 Select has the multi-speed fan motor but I've noticed that the
<+> and <-> leads are wired directly to the battery. I've checked the Heatercraft website and surprisingly (at least to me) this is the prescribed installation.
Don't you think the unit should be wired to the fuse...
I've got a dual axle Shorelander with surge brakes for my 200 Select.
It came with the 5 pin flat connector. My truck has a 4 pin flat.
I launch in salt and boy do those puppies every corrode quickly. Its time to replace both connectors... i'll be more dilligent in keeping them out of...

I pulled out the alternator of my 2003 200 Select with the 5.0 MPI. I think i have correctly routed the serp belt ( I taped it up with duct tape, but it feel off and know i'm guessing). How much deflection should i look for when i tighten it up. I'm thinking 1/2-3/4".
I stuck a charger on the battery #2 that I thought was the one that I had run down. Its a small 4 amp charger and I left it on for about 3-4 hours.
When we went out today, I put the switch to the #2 battery i had charged, but after a couple of minutes, I started getting that awful audible...
Well i'm all in.
2003 200 Select.
Bought it, trailered it, fueled it up, washed it, launched it, docked it a couple of times, washed it again and parked it. What a grand day.
I have a couple of questions you all may be able to help with.
first, the blower motor started making...
Hi All
I've made a deal of a 2003 200 Select.
Now i need to know if it will fit in the garage.
Does anybody know the clearance height on the double axel Shorelander?
The garage door header is low at 6'8".
But the driveway slopes down to the road and my truck has adjustable suspension and...
