    Alarm At 2600 RPM

Did more troubleshooting this weekend and have pretty much narrowed it down to the oil pressure sensor. However, not sure where to find the oil pressure sensor. I have a remote oil filter on a 454 MPI Big Block. Any ideas? My mechanic told me to follow the piping from the filter back to the...

    Alarm At 2600 RPM

Thanks for the response. Took it out again tonight with a voltmeter hooked to the battery leads to see if my voltmeter gauge was giving me the right reading. Looks like it might be too high as my voltmeter was reading right where it should be...14.7. The alarm sounded again and I didn't...

    Alarm At 2600 RPM

I have a 1999 Sea Ray 230 BR with 454, 320 hours. Launched this Spring and all running well until I get above 2600 RPM. Above 2600 RPM alarm starts sounding and won't shut off until I shut down the boat and restart. Alarm won't sound idling. Temperature (170 degrees), Oil Pressure (40 PSI)...

    Econo Lifts

thirtydaZe...if you haven't pulled the trigger on a lift yet, keep in mind that with Bellevue and Sandpiper marinas closed that you can probably get a pretty good deal on a used lift this season. $2500 seems the typical asking price for a 6500# lift, but I bet you can do some negotiating!

No data reading on my depth finder

Not sure how these are set up on the 310, but this happens to me often on my 230. I boat in the Muddy Missouri and the sensor on the outdrive can become clogged with debris. The sensor is in a small notch on the outdrive and using a small drill bit to clean the debris out works.

How To How To Open Engine Compartment With Dead Battery

Good suggestion on removing the pin. I know there is an access panel in there. I am picking up the boat next weekend from storage and will give that a try. You're right that I might be able to lift it on the 230, but on a 300 that might take at least two people to lift!

How To How To Open Engine Compartment With Dead Battery

Thanks...one with the 12V accessory plug is probably the way I need to go. I don't think there is an easy way at either battery when the compartment is closed. I boat quite a bit on the Missouri River Reservoirs in South Dakota, which are pretty remote, and I am preparing for some of the...

How To How To Open Engine Compartment With Dead Battery

I have a 1999 Sea Ray 230 BR with the hydraulic engine compartment. Anyone know of an easy way to lift the engine compartment hatch if you have a dead battery? I haven't had this problem yet, but I want to be prepared as I boat in some remote locations!
