    Ipad, etc... Gizmos?

Oh yea, another great thing about the Navionics app is you do NOT need a cell phone signal. The positioning works strictly off of GPS. They have several instruction videos on their website, 3-4 minutes each, that give a good overview of the app.

    Ipad, etc... Gizmos?

I have a Droid 2 with Verizon. Just moved to a new lake from the river so last week I downloaded the Navionics Mobile app with maps of my lake region at a cost of $14.00. We went out to watch fireworks on Saturday about a 7 mile trip through a narrow finger to the main lake. I hit the track...

Help needed in locating water tank in 1985DA

I have an '84 340 Sundancer that is laid out like you describe. The water tank in mine runs the length of the galley floor. In front of the door to the head, I felt around the carpet and found 4 screws for a small hatch that lets you access the fittings on the tank. I have concluded from...

Lack of value for our boat in todays econonmy is hard to swallow...

    Spark Plug Wire Off

I have an old '84 Sundancer with twin 454 engines and v-drives. The port motor was replaced recently with a Jasper rebuild. It ran good for the first 20 hours, but had a strong gas smell. After 20 hours, it started running horrible and would not obtain over 2,000 RPM at full throttle. The...

    Lost to Davey Jones' locker...

I bought my wife a pretty danged expensive diamond tennis braclet for Xmas last year. One Saturday night she was getting on the boat, banged her wrist on the door crossing the swim platform and the braclet went in about 7 feet of water. Not too deep to dive down and recover, but it was cold...

    Official Raft-Up Picture Threag

We boat on the Arkansas River and don't raft up but pull up to the sandbars. One of the regulars is constantly taking pictures during the summer. At the end of last year he put together a dvd slideshow of the summer. It was set to music and was really cool to watch over the winter. Brought...

    Excited Again

Long Story but it’s fixin’ to get fun again. We have a '84 340DA we purchased around labor day 2006. When we bought the boat I knew one of the engines was weak but got a good deal and crossed my fingers. Sure enough on about the 5th trip out, the engine started hammering and smoking like...

Shower sump on 1992 290 Sundancer

I've got an '84 Sundancer and have the same problem. Not familar with your model but mine is coming from the fresh water tank under the floor just forward from the shower sump. From my post in the general maintenance section, does not appear to be an easy fix. But nothing every seems easy...

    Fresh Water Tank 84 SDA340

Thanks for the replys and I guess my fears that this is going to be a big deal are true. Never Monday, I see your boat is an '89 where mine is an '84. I think about '86 they changed the configuration whereby my table is on the starboard side. Therefore, my tank is in the same spot as...

    Fresh Water Tank 84 SDA340

I have a 1984 340 Sundancer. The 51 gallon fresh water tank has started leaking and I need to replace it. I have found a small removable hatch just outside the door to the head that is fastened by screws. There is no way the tank can come out through this hole and i can not find any...
