    teak looking swim deck covering?

An update on the Nu-Teak install. The Distributor of Nuteak in chicago used a sub in Minnesota to do the work. While it took a while to get going, the product looked great and then the sub ran into financial difficulties. My work is about 90 percent complete, but I can't get the last ten...

tri color, underwater lights, LED swim platform

well I was definitely happy with my blue lights especially considering the turbid water in Lake Minnetonka but that is about to change now that the zebra mussels arrived last fall :( I am going to add white lights so i can switch between the two for different effects.

I also contacted the coast guard and they said; "Greetings, There is no outright Coast Guard prohibition to the use of underwater lights, other than the Navigation Rule 20(b) caveat that states "no other lights shall be exhibited, except such lights which cannot be mistaken for the lights...

tri color, underwater lights, LED swim platform

Hey FireRooster, just saw your pics. Very nice! I hadn't considered green. Being Michigan man my lights had to be blue of course. Although the platform lights are any color I want provided the controller has it programmed. I pretty much like the slow color fades to different colors on those...

tri color, underwater lights, LED swim platform

Thanks guys, that correlates with the answer I got from the"'authorities". The lights are not bright enough to "blind" anyone. It's an "effect" and if anything makes the boat a bit more visible. It is not a spotlight. I love that those that haven't even seen the look want to give their...

custom dash panels and LED backlighting

<He refuses to rise to the poffered turtle bait> lol. If history is any indicator I'll probably get the itch and move up again which would mean a really ridiculously large looking boat on Lake Minnetonka well before the joints fail not that a 380 on the lake I am on isn't overkill already.

    teak looking swim deck covering?

Justin, Rene Munnell does the nuteak installs for the distributor that has this area (Gary Cates) who is based in chicago. Rene just finished my interior. I love the look of Tonka's swim platform (not sure who did his).

custom dash panels and LED backlighting

Here's a thought, how about we talk about the look of the dash panels and what a nice job they are (which is why I posted them). And those that want to debate the relative merit of different ways of getting cold fusion from a $3.50 LED can start a new post? Hey just a thought.

custom dash panels and LED backlighting

Testy? Hardly. Real life unfortunately intrudes too much on project and response time which intrudes on fun time which there is all too little of when it comes to summer in Minnesota. Actually responding to this at my desk in Nova Scotia (corporate is here). The reason the wires broke isn't...

Thanks Todd, I guess I am just trying to have fun and personalize my boat without burning it down or creating too much havoc here or on the water . I joined this site to see what others did and share some of what I have done and some of my mistakes. To me it's all about making friends...

custom dash panels and LED backlighting

The Lucille - You are correct in stating that the LED's use very thin angel wire typically although Scott's panels have a solid thin pair of wires. On the installs I added there are a variety of connections. Some connections such as the uw lights are heavier gauge and crimped onto electrical...

Request for help. Ok I got the teleflex gauge rebuilt by the company since they no longer make it and I couldn't find an old one anywhere. I have one switch on my dash that is wired, but doesn't seem to do anything. Short of tracing the wiring (because I can't tell from the paperwork I have on...

LOL, I would suggest you look for this 62' pershing doing it. Maybe it will be easier for you to spot. As for me, I have no concern. I discussed the lights with the WP before I installed my first set of UW, whites 5 years ago and was told as long as the lights were not out of the water and not...
