    Trim Gauge

Thanks Quint4...so it looks like I would have to pull the drive? Screw that, I will wait til fall when I have it winterized.

    Trim Gauge

Yes, the drive was pulled last fall for full winterization by professionals. that could very well be the cause, thanks. And yeah, I did run the drive full up and down several times hoping it would "work itself out"...no such luck.

    Trim Gauge

Oh great, so I have to pull the boat out of the water to check these? Or are the potentially faulty wires inside?

    Trim Gauge

OK, next question...I have never worked on a trim system. How difficult is it to figure out where the sender is and how to check the grounds? Thanks!

    Trim Gauge

Thanks for confirming what I suspected. Bad ground does seem likely based on the symptoms. yeah, I really don't need it as I know where my trim is. I usually run with it nearly all the way down and trim up a bit at higher speeds. I have trim tabs for controlling bow rise. I am just a little...

    Trim Gauge

Well, I finally splashed my boat today. Fired right up and everything seemed good. I put it into reverse and went to back away from the dock and it wouldn't move...I then realized I forgot to put the drive down, it was nearly all the way up in the "trailer" position. I put the drive down and all...

As Oil Rises, What Would You Want?

ALL major mfrs are making/developing electric cars. In the next year or 2, there will be dozens of them to choose from.

    When are you splashing?

Where do you boat? I am a St Croix River boater, due to the predicted spring flooding, it will likely be a very late start to the boating season on the river.

    Boating & Gas Prices

Were probably in for an abbreviated boating season this year. We'll be lucky to get out before mid-June. They are predicting the worst spring flooding in history. Worst was 25.5' in 1965 and they are already predicting 28' this year with lots of precip/snow in the forecast for the next week or...

    Post your boat's name

"Slippery When Wet" I bought my first boat when I was dating my wife back 1989. It was a 1987 Starcraft runabout. It was already named this with a high-quality paint job (not a decal). She didn't like it, but it was my boat and we weren't married yet, so she couldn't say much. I liked it...

The Yankqueers should have to pay sales tax on their trophys. Seriously though, I hate the Yankees, but I blame MLB...it desperately needs a salary cap.
