Well, as recently as last year, I used to get great support from Sea Ray regarding older boats ie: drawings, parts etc. Apparently that excellent group has been totally eliminated.
So, reaching out here. My Galley Power vent is making a racket and probably needs to be replaced. It seems to...
Check the salon AC drip pan / drain. If the pan is holding water, the drain is probably clogged. My 410 would overflow the pan (by design, into the salon bilge) if the drain tube which was routed to the sump got clogged.
Over the winter I change out my old 2004 era Ray230 and replaced it with a Ray90. A bit pricey to maintain the remote mount look. But wow, what a difference in clarity and static reduction. :)
I've had DirecTv for years as well. Including the KVH HD7 upgrade for high def. But that wasn't the point of the question. The question was specifically related to DirecTv as a source of music on the boat. I have used DirecTv for TV since the 90's, just never think to use it as a music...
For those that have DirecTv on the boat, do you ever use the 800 channels (Music Choice) for music? I'm assuming this would work well when out of range for cell service.
Now that you can apparently stream audio to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously from an iPhone, I'm thinking about getting a Sonos to use when hanging out on the bow when on the hook. That way I don't have to crank the Fusion in the cockpit, just to hear music in front of the windshield and...
I never remember song names so Pandora just seemed easier for me than Spotify. Almost exclusively use Pandora Premium, commercial free, using high audio quality option. Allows several playlists to be downloaded to the device (iphone, ipad). Use in the truck via iphone, the jeep via iphone...
I went Fusion. I only used the Fusion over NMEA a couple of times. More practical to turn off the MFD's when not underway. Used the WiFi volume control a couple of times but lost interest since my LAN doesn't have DATA. Primary reason for me to go Fusion was Zone Control (4 zones)(Helm...
I'm a big JL fan but had serious problems with the MHD Series. I had three of the MHD600 24V units from about 2013. They were made to be stackable but they overheat. All three had various zones die within 3-4 years. Switched to the M Series (also 24V) which have been excellent.
