Does anyone know who to contact to maybe buy some parts from the totaled boats? I am looking for a forward hatch for the late 80's Sundancer that is in working condition.
These were complicated to make from pictures but I think they look good now. Each are 3.5 inches wide.

I hope this is the right place for these questions. I have a an Onan 6.5 KW generator on the boat. When I bought it 4 years ago, the surveyor tested the gen and it was fine. When the boat was shipped to my marina, I winterized the genset, changed the oil, and fogged the genset. Well now I...
Thanks to Jason's way of sealing teak wood, I have to say I am very impressed. I did most of this just before the boat was launched and it was still "green" as Jason stated. But with having the dog on the boat, he has not even scuffed up the finish with his claws. The boarding treads where we...
I am going to try and attach some video we took of the fireworks in Hartford tonight. The boat ran flawless! I do have to pay attention to the gauges a little better. It seems I was pushing the port engine harder than the starboard. I think the sync gauge is off. I did notice about 600 RPM...
Tuesday night, July 3 at 9:00pm is Middletown Fireworks, then Sat, July 7 fireworks at the Portland fair grounds just up river from Middletown. any one going?
My forward hatch hinge is sprung. It can be closed with someone outside pushing the hatch cover to one side. This makes it a P.I.A. I know those hatches are no longer available and the cost of a new one is high. I was just wondering if anyone knows what make they are and if there are any...
As I was doing my spring work, I had the sea strainers out. Last year I had problems sealing the top of the strainers with wing nuts that lock them down. It seams that there is a gasket under the top. I really had to look hard at them to see what was left. What would you use to make new ones...
I currently have an 1988 340 Sundancer with twin 454 big blocks. Last year I used straight 30 weight motor oil. What do people use for bands and weight?
I am making great progress on my winter projects. Last weekend I did get the headliner up in the galley. I was not happy about the seam and all week was thinking about it and figured out how to fix it. The problem was the foam was not removed enough when I did the overlap on the seam, so today...
OK guys, you will like this one
I went to have coffee with some friends tonight. It was at the local McD's and it was crowed. Ran into a friend of mine that I had not seen in a while. As we are getting ready to leave, one of my friends made a comment, that when the female hormones in my...
OK I know am going to get ribbing on this but, I was just watching ShipShape and they showed these outboards that run on propane. Either the 1 lb tank or you can put your grill tank to it. Looks neat!

Well today I pulled the headliner down. Some of the foam backing stayed on the ceiling. So did a lot of glue. Anyone have an idea of what to use to take it off the fiberglass?
Well it is time to start working on the interior of the boat. What a pain the a$$ to pull the cabinets off inside to find leaks. So I decided to start a web page with the pictures and details.
